Hallo Loader009, you said several times here that you are not a dev, you only download the source, apply some patches and run the make command.
Then I have some questions:
Moto Z is not a supported device of Resurrection remix, right? At least I do not find it on their webpage. So who did that great work to make it compatible with the Moto Z, especially the battery efficiency mode? Why is this great version not official?
After the last update of 2019-02-22, I recognized that the security patched are from Dec 2018. Is there a reason, why it does not contain the January 2019 patch? What is new then? Is a change log available?
Sorry for all this questions but I would really understand how the Resurrection thing is organized.

The main work is from @erfanoabdi and @vache for this oreo based work. All the hard work is done in LineageOS oreo, which I then used and modified to create this. (I mentioned all contributors in the OP.)

It is really just a little I did, mostly to learn on how to do this and sometimes I help others to do the modifications to get a ROM running. (It needs a lot of time to get into it and to get the commands to know.)


I didn't know about the security patch. The next build (today) i will do with the changelog (this takes a huge amount of time because the compressed source {needed for changelog} is on a hdd, but the uncompressed is on a ssd).

There is also a testbuild RRpie treble available, not from me but I helped. I didn't test it though, because of no MotoZ. The authors for treble compatibility are the same as in the LOS16 thread. With treble we can use GSIs from pretty much every ROM.

Thanks for this helpful information. I have a 2 Mozo Z , so I can test RRpie. Do you know if the Moto Z is a AB partition style or a A-only?

Moto Z is A-only

New build is online, changelog back to November included.
It looks like there has been no security patch merges since December, although there are small patches.
I guess they concentrate on pie...

For those who want to keep oreo, I advise you to backup all available RRoreo builds, just in case that the last (in your opinion) stable build is not available anymore. I think the future RRoreo builds will get less and less stable, just like in RRnougat.

RRoreo gets lesser updates, you already noticed the missing security patches.

I thought the updates here have only one reason, the security patches.! For what reason are the updates here if the "future RRoreo builds will get less and less stable" according to Loader009.
I tested the Lineage 16 on my second phone: problems with encryption. so not useful to me.
I tested the Lineage 15.1 on my second phone: no efficiency mode, .so not useful to me.
This Resurrection OS here is the best so far. At least it is usable, thanks for this, Loader009! So will there be a RR Pie for Moto Z. with monthly security patches?
Otherwise I have to buy a new phone and I would buy s. th. that is 100 % compatible with LOS16, any recommendation?

Two (more or less) sad news.

1. I tried to build RR oreo today, but I get an error, because of something merged just after my last build in march.
As I am not experienced enough to create blindly a build with merges and such stuff, I'll stop here.

2. It looks like the repair service lost my device. I will get a refund, but I won't buy another Moto Z.
Instead I am gonna keep the money to buy the F(x)tec Pro¹ keyboard phone.

So long, this ROM ends here for oreo and for me.
There won't be a RR pie ROM from me, for this you will have to learn how to use treble on the Moto Z.

So the Z will get backup phone.
My next phone will have a large battery and hopefully LOS or other custom ROM options.

Thanks for the work again! It was a nice time having a stable OS in the Moto Z .I switched now to Lineage 16 with the Moto Z, works great! I had to go first to 15.1, then I encrypted the phone, then I went to 16. After this, I had this password issue and could not log in. Then, I applied encryption.zip from the post in TWRP and everthing works fine now. No need to retire the Moto Z
