Hi everyone,
I'm back (after a broken inner OLED screen and repairing on my own after months :p
As Motorola denied warranty b/c it was modded - yeah, I knew this, still it was a hardware defect and this will be probably my last Moto phone ...)

I'm glad that development continues.
I installed RR-O-v6.2.1-20181020 and will test it.

And I've got 2 questions:

* I saw this system_image partition in twrp backup, and it seizes almost 6GB of the internal storage.
I guess it's an original recovery/installer ?
I don't think I need that partition, while I could always use a bigger storage.
Is there a way to reformat the phone (white preferable not bricking it ;) ) ?

* Imho this phone has "massive" thermal problems. It takes only 30 sek or so on full load until it throttles and becomes extremely slow.
Any ideas how to remedy that ?
And is it difficult to include undervolting capabilties into the kernel ? I'd love to cut down power ...
(I know the kernel has to provide some interface to e.g. Kernel Adiutor, but I don't know how complex that is to include it for this CPU ...)

Blutetooh battery drain bug is back.
Oh, I hope not. Will keep an eye on it.

I greatly appreciate the help of all helping voices (no, I don't hear any weird voices yet).
Great thanks goes to erfanoabdi and vache, without their help there would be no Moto Mod support.
Also much thanks to the LineageOS team, ResurrectionRemix team and the XDA-Developers portal as well as their(/our) community.

Added commits:
Moto Mods: Battery Mod efficiency support (updated one patch to make it compatible to RR)
Moto Mods: Audio Mods support and .so files (modified a little because of differences to source)
FakeSignature Patch: microG support

Thanks for the nice ROM. I am using it on my Moto Z and everything in working. Just one question: I would like to update from 6.2.0 to 6.2.1. Can I install it over the existing system partition or do I have to wipe Dalvik and System first. Will all settings been kept?
Thanks,
Rainer

Audio Mods

Moto Mods support is the same as LineageOS.
Though I build with erfans JBL source, so audio mods are also supported, but JBL without controllable volume afaik.
Hi,
I have been using your ROM for several months now and am very happy with it, great work!
I just would like to adress two issues, one being the fact that Moto Mods Manager does not update the Mod software - I have been ignoring this for months, but I was always having the messages that the update doesn´t work. I solved the problem by reinstalling a stock rom, making the Mod update from there and coming back to RR - now there is no need to update anymore, thus no annoying messages. Still - maybe there is a solution to this from within RR before the next updates :) I am talking about the Battery and Projector Mods. For Audio there was no update available/necessary
Another issue is the problem with no adjustable volume for the audio mods. It is either totally silent or 100% loud. Like that an audio mod is not really usable - is there any way to fix this?
Thanks a lot,
Karsten

JBL speaker issue with the volume

First, thank for the nice ROM. Everything is working me, except the JBL speaker. Either 0% volume or 100% volume is practically not usable. Would it be likely to solve this problem in the future?
Thanks,
Rainer

JBL mod

- audio mods either 100% or 0% is known, not fixable
- for updating mods firmwares you will need to use stock
Thanks for the info! Does this mean if I update the jbl mod on the original firmware, I can use it afterwards with Resurrection Remix 6.1.0?
Or did I misunderstand you?

Blutetooh battery drain bug is back.
I'm using the phone with 1020 and 1105, and both have massive battery drain.
Now I remember, that it may be BT related but I guess, it's either my battery, or some idiotic wakelock ...
Anyway, is it sufficient just to disable BT ?

And I've got quite weird behaviour, as the wifi reconnects every 2-5 min or so ...
For browsing it's still ok, but firefox is not able to download the RR image (due to the disconnect). I had to use chrome for that ...

@joebarnickle
what is ambient display ? this feature ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjRu-WspTTQ
and what should the phone do ?

I'm going to flash the next build.
Thanks for providing them. This is a nice update cycle ;)

Yes and additional the Moto Z has sensors near the fingerprint which are turning the ambient display on when recognizing any movement.
This feature didn't work for me with 20/10 build.
It's acutally a bit stupid, that the guy in the video didn't show how this feature then works afterwards ...
I enabled it, seems to work. At least I'm just touching the phone and I see the time, etc
(But tbh, I had yesterday a weird bug, that I couldn't enable the flashlight with shaking. Just didn't work, now today, without anything it works again)
The ambient display looks like a nice feature, I hope it doen't dran more battery, then I'll leave it enabled.

I'm on 1105 btw, and that reminds me, that I wanted to update yesterday xD ...

Many custom rooms for Griffin use the right bottom sensor only.
