How To Guide Debloat FunTouch OS 11/13 - IQOO 7

Search This thread
I bought the IQOO 7 Indian variant and man it is so bloated and full of crap software.
Anyway I have uninstalled most of the VIVO crapware from my phone using ADB.

Update 31/03/2023 : - I have attached the ADB App Control preset for debloating Funtouch OS 13.
Please use ADB App Control and load it and get rid of the crap.
Also after the update some of the VIVO apps like iQOO Cloud, Jovi Assistant etc. cannot be removed by the usual ADB command and will give you DELETE_FAILED_USER_RESTRICTED error. To solve this issue go to this link - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...r_restricted-error-funtouch-os-12-13.4570979/

For Funtouch OS 11, Here is a list of apps that I found safe to be removed -

Code:
com.google.android.projection.gearhead
com.android.bbklog
com.android.bookmarkprovider
com.android.browser
com.android.printspooler
com.android.stk
com.android.VideoPlayer
com.bbk.account
com.bbk.account.overlay
com.bbk.cloud
com.bbk.cloud.overlay
com.bbk.iqoo.logsystem
com.facebook.appmanager
com.facebook.services
com.facebook.system
com.google.android.apps.photos
com.google.android.apps.tachyon
com.google.android.marvin.talkback
com.google.android.printservice.recommendation
com.iqoo.website
com.netflix.mediaclient
com.netflix.partner.activation
com.vivo.appfilter
com.vivo.appstore
com.vivo.assistant
com.vivo.browser
com.vivo.doubletimezoneclock
com.vivo.favorite
com.vivo.feedback
com.vivo.game
com.vivo.globalsearch
com.vivo.hiboard
com.vivo.livewallpaper.plant
com.vivo.magazine
com.vivo.notes
com.vivo.omacp
com.vivo.share
com.vivo.Tips
com.android.bips
com.vlife.vivo.wallpaper
com.vivo.easyshare
com.vivo.pushservice
com.vivo.demovideo
com.yozo.vivo.office
com.google.android.cellbroadcastreceiver

Please remove these apps at your own risk. I found them safe to remove in the IQOO 7 Indian variant and that doesn't mean same will happen for you. Don't blame me if you miss your exam or your phone blows up after removing these apps.

Also keep in mind that removing some of these apps will remove some options from the settings menu or some software functions of your phone.

If you want to add some apps to this list and help out others please let me know.

And finally if you don't know how to remove system apps (and reinstall them back) using ADB, here is a detailed guide - https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/

Or use this app - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...app-manager-debloat-tool-for-android.4147837/

One thing more, I removed com.vivo.pem as well the so called power management app and OH MY GOD I LOVE MY PHONE MORE NOW.

The default android ram management is back and I even tried testing background app management using don't kill my app and the results are fabulous.
100% background apps retained.
Earlier I had removed stuff and was able to achieve only 40%.

If you want default android ram management then uninstall this package.

Yes it did.

Changes I've experienced so far with disabling the app mentioned above:
1. Battery went down. Earlier it used to last me for like 12 hours use since I had to keep checking apps and keep them alive so I can receive notifications.
Now I just simply don't care. Even if I have played a heavy game like MCOC in the morning or even last night and simply went to home then the game stays in memory no matter what.

2. The phone heats up sometimes a bit more than earlier since nows while playing games its actually working more as it has to keep other apps alive as well.

3. The phone feels a lot more smoother. Since most apps are already in memory, the phone is a lot more snappier.

Yeah..deleting PEM really makes difference..phone is running smooth and No frequent closing of apps In the background..earlier Even my music and video apps used to get closed even while using thwm because of vivo's Very aggressive ram management..but now..it is Smooth and we can show off our 8 gb of ram.

After using this phone for almost a year frankly I regret making a choice of buying this phone. Gone are those days for me where I could afford to shag off time tweaking **** up on phone just to get some better performance. I don't have that kind of spare time anymore and this phone demand **** load of it.

I am seriously fed up of this phone, company and especially Android 12 and its own bugs. Even Google is least bothered to fix their mess and have started releasing buggy OS.

Does anyone know which app would be responsible for managing bluetooth audio latency(for aptx adaptive)?

I uninstalled a bunch of apps and everything seemed fine at first but later i realized my bluetooth audio latency was abysmally high in games (more than half a second, whereas before it automatically adjusted to less than 100ms when i launched a game). I probably should have noted down the ones i uninstalled.

I have reinstalled the tws app, audio effect app, jovi home, power guardian, gamewatch, ultra game mode, gamecenter, I manager, appstore, bbk account, cloud, global search but still no luck.

Doing a factory reset seems like the ultimate option. Any help would be nice.

You can use ADB App Control (Windows) app to check the list of apps you have uninstalled by going to the Uninstalled tab after connecting your phone to pc using ADB. Then you can also reinstall that app from right there. Hope it helps.
