Hey guys, just got the GW4 and I had previously debloated my Fossil, but it was old and no more updates were coming through. Is it safe to remove things like the Samsung Health and still get updates in the future?

Is there any battery life benefit of doing the debloat?
I am struggling to find out what causes such terrible battery life on this watch vs it's Tizen brethren that outlasted this with smaller batteries.
WearOS 3 was such a lie, "longer battery life", yeah sure.....

Thank you!

After debloating with all of your adb commands, I sideloaded /https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tvkdevelopment.nobloatfree

It does run and work on the watch. It shows a root view of what else can be uninstalled or disabled.

If it causes your screen to go black, swipe back should reveal the menu.

When I enable Developer options and go into it I only have 2 options - 1 for pixels on screen and the other to turn developer mode off...I have no way to access ADb or anything else.....anyone got any ideas? TIA

go into wearable app, watch settings, apps, app settings and then samsung pay. then you should setup it again, otherwise delete data first. this helped me. had the same issue (had a encryptionkey error or something)
It only shows the app information, I tap on storage and even memory and nothing happens, and its on the wearable options, i deleted data, but it was on phone, and same thing happens

Also same issue.
Have you solved it without restoring the device?

Why do people still refuse to use the Search This Thread option and type in the word "reinstall"

It takes literally no effort....

What was the verdict on this mate? I have been wondering the same. Thanks
You are still able to use voice. Though I have sense reset my watch back to stock and just uninstalled the apps I didn't want the official way and it runs just fine. No need to jump through these hoops honestly. Love the watch

So many people asking what else can be debloated, you can search for yourself.

To list every package:

pm list packages

If you see anything of interest or want to use keywords, type:

pm list packages | grep 'KEYWORD'

If you uninstall a package and have an adverse effect:

cmd package install-existing PACKAGE_NAME

    Hello everyone,
    Hope you all good,

First of all, I want to clarify that this is a list with everything that people can remove, it is up to you to choose what to remove from the watch 4, you don't need to remove all apps...

    Debloat Galaxy Watch 4
    1. Enable developers mode (skip if it's on):
    On the galaxy watch 4,
go to settings -> information about the clock -> software -> click on software version until you see the written developer mode activated...

    2. Enabling ADB:
    On the galaxy watch 4,
go to developer options and enable adb debugging and debugging via wifi, go back and connect your computer and watch 4 to the same connection...

Now on watch 4 go to wifi settings click on the connection to which it is connected scroll to the bottom and look at the ip address, write it down...

    3. Running ADB:
On the computer open adb minimal and write: adb connect (your ip address) and then write: adb shell done this you can choose which apps to keep and which to remove...

This is simply a list of all the things you can remove

I investigated the gps problem and found that it is the com.samsung.android.bixby.agent package that causes the gps bug not working so you can uninstall all but this package you have to disable it

So just an update. i had to reset my watch to connect it to my new S22 ultra and while debloating the S22 ultra i found a great app that work with debloating the watch also. Easy to read GUI makes debloating all the watch faces and samsung apps a breeze.

The app is called ADB App Control

I developed a Tasker Task that automates the process so you don't have input each command one at a time or look up package names..

HOW IT WORKS: It'll bring up a list of all your apps, including system apps. Select as many apps as you want and hit enter or next. You'll be prompted on whether or not to disable or uninstall them. The tool with then one by one uninstall/disable all your selected apps. Tasker ADB permission is required. Here's the link: TaskerNet Download Link

If you don't know what or how to use Tasker , probably easier just to do it manually.

    Hello.
To avoid gps issues, I had to 'reset' watch and then disabling packages:
    pm disable-user --user 0 [package]

    instead of uninstalling:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 [package]

    Now gps works perfectly.

    Regards.
