Is there a way to do this without a Windows PC? I only have a Chromebook and my android phone.

I disabled the Samsung phone app and replaced it with the Google one but now I don't see the name of incoming callers just their number. Any ideas?

Yeah I am struggling with enabling the Samsung dialer and contacts apps. Seeing that I just disabled them rather than uninstalled I assume they are still there somewhere. Might have to resort to a factory reset.

Like i said to the last person to ask this, theres only 7 (now 8) pages of this thread, dont be lazy and expect to be spoonfed, im feeling generous, so ill point out the answer is between page 1 and 5 :)
Thanks. If it's there I can't find it. I had previously tried the pm install-existing (nameofpackage) command but this didn't work. I assume because I disabled it rather than uninstalled it. Looks like a factory reset it's the only option.

theres a link to this more helpful thread:

where you probably want to try:

pm enable --user 0 <package-name-to-enable>

I am not able to go past the third step. I did adp connect to my ipaddress.

when I try to do adb shell is when I get error in the cmd prompt that says error: device unauthorized. This adb server's $ADB_VENDOR-KEYS is not set.

Any suggestions?

Which OS are you using?, if Windows, you can try:

1) on device tap Revoke USB Debugging Authorisation under Developer Settings
2) unplug device
3) open File Explorer
4) navigate to c:\Users, then click on your username
5) delete the .android folder
6) reconnect device and look for and allow access on usb debugging prompt on device

Step 3,4,5 is same basic thing on every OS, delete the adbkey.* files

I am using windows. Tried following the step but same issue.

I revoked USB debugging but I am connected over wi-fi so dont have a device to unplug (?)

I have seen several users asking about the benefit of uninstalling these Samsung apps in terms of battery life. However, I could not find an answer for it.
What's the magnitude of improvement in battery life upon uninstalling/disabling these apps? Is it significant or the only benefit is to delete the apps to get more storage space?

Not only for the battery or space .... but apps removed which you do not use, Like i dont use Samsung contact app ... i use the google contact so no use in keeping S.contacts. So you can keep it clean ...... there is some improvement in the battery i have seen ... but not significant ...

Not sure. I haven't tested this yet. I'll test and let you know the outcome.

Maybe you need the contacts app as well?
I have google contact and google dialer .... i am able to see the names .... but with samsung dialer and contact i use to see the photo of the contacts also ... is there anything i am missing to enable or any setting??

Hoping for some help: I'm connected to the same wifi network and I've enabled developer mode and wifi debugging but when I try to connect via adb I get this message: unable to connect : A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. (10060)

Any thoughts?

    Hello everyone,
    Hope you all good,

First of all, I want to clarify that this is a list with everything that people can remove, it is up to you to choose what to remove from the watch 4, you don't need to remove all apps...

    Debloat Galaxy Watch 4
    1. Enable developers mode (skip if it's on):
    On the galaxy watch 4,
go to settings -> information about the clock -> software -> click on software version until you see the written developer mode activated...

    2. Enabling ADB:
    On the galaxy watch 4,
go to developer options and enable adb debugging and debugging via wifi, go back and connect your computer and watch 4 to the same connection...

Now on watch 4 go to wifi settings click on the connection to which it is connected scroll to the bottom and look at the ip address, write it down...

    3. Running ADB:
On the computer open adb minimal and write: adb connect (your ip address) and then write: adb shell done this you can choose which apps to keep and which to remove...

This is simply a list of all the things you can remove

I investigated the gps problem and found that it is the com.samsung.android.bixby.agent package that causes the gps bug not working so you can uninstall all but this package you have to disable it

So just an update. i had to reset my watch to connect it to my new S22 ultra and while debloating the S22 ultra i found a great app that work with debloating the watch also. Easy to read GUI makes debloating all the watch faces and samsung apps a breeze.

The app is called ADB App Control

    Hello.
To avoid gps issues, I had to 'reset' watch and then disabling packages:
    pm disable-user --user 0 [package]

    instead of uninstalling:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 [package]

    Now gps works perfectly.

    Regards.

I developed a Tasker Task that automates the process so you don't have input each command one at a time or look up package names..

HOW IT WORKS: It'll bring up a list of all your apps, including system apps. Select as many apps as you want and hit enter or next. You'll be prompted on whether or not to disable or uninstall them. The tool with then one by one uninstall/disable all your selected apps. Tasker ADB permission is required. Here's the link: TaskerNet Download Link

If you don't know what or how to use Tasker , probably easier just to do it manually.
