Hey everyone, figure i start a thread on apps/etc that can be safely disabled, so that we can dial on on removing needless junk from our phones.

I am currently running a Snapdragon S22 Ultra, SM-S908U 512GB (AT&T variant) so my list may vary versus other Snapdragon variants.

LIST BELOW, this is for SnapDragon users. There are some AT&T apps other Snapdragon uses will not have, each carrier has their own bloatware added. I may have missed a few or have a few added you may not have.

If you own a Verizon, T-Mobile, or Unlocked S22 Ultra, please PM me with a list of your running processes and i will attempt to create a minimalist list for each Snapdragon variant.

This is a work in progress; your feedback helps, as does that of any others with more experience or knowledge to share!

Your battery life will differ from mine depending on your preferences.

I have battery saving on, 70% max CPU speed on, 720p, fixed 60hz, 85% max charge, and some other misc tweaks i would be happy to share. I will update this post with all settings maxxed out in a few days (by end of March)

Instructions
Use ADB AppControl for ease of use, and simply create a text file in your ADB AppControl/presets folder and copy these entries and save as txt.
Enable USB debugging on your S22 Ultra
Load up ADB AppControl, on PC, connect S22 Ultra and connect in 'Cable Charging' mode.
Follow instructions to correctly connect your S22 Ultra (easy walkthrough, only needs to be done once)
Once connected properly, hit 'Load Preset' and load the txt file you made
Click dropdown in bottom right and hit APPLY

This list DISABLES Chrome, Google Assistant, DeX, Edge screen, ALL AT&T crap, ALL gaming related crap, PenUP, S-health, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and some other minor 'features'. All are easily restored and i will separate this list with descriptors in a few days.

This is awesome, exactly what I do with every phone. And the more detailed the list, the better.
But always be careful, what you remove, don't just remove everything, because something is maybe needed later on.

Quote me:
This Thread is for advanced user who want to have:
- A faster Device
- Better Battery Life
- much less battery draining
- much less lag
- don't want to be spyed on so much
- Removed Bloatware
- don't want to support the default system
- don't want to be a sheeple
- be an intelligent user
- have the freedom you deserve on your device
- and probably more
Here back then I created a Thread for the Galaxy S7:

Just wanted to show you the nice Poll and that Iam a long time bloatware remover as well ;)
But I recommend to use the lists above, as they are more recent and relevant.

Do we have to use ADB console for this or are there some good (non-root) apps that can help with debloating?

Still refining the list of safe to disable stuff, about another 2 days testing. Managed to get very good battery life, but that involved disabling some stuff... ATT sent me a 4G sim so i havent tested battery drain with 5G, and im using bixby routines to do some stuff like auto-kill apps at night etc. 720P, 60Hz (i dont care about 120hz since i dont game), CPU on optimized, and battery saving on. Wifi OFF, BT and NFC OFF, no facebook or other social media besides reddit.

Impressive battery life in this config. Snapdragon 512GB via AT&T.

Do you get any actual notifications pushed? I noticed with battery saving mode, nothing got pushed.

yes, and to the always on display as well. Im using Nova so i have it configured through there, works fine. Should get about 50hrs with around 9-11 hrs SOT in this config, impressed so far, my Note7's got about 10hrs with 3hrs SOT towards the end, initially about 18hrs with 4hrs SOT and that was also with debloating done.

Guide will be updated later tonight.

Currently on day 6, 4 of which have been neutered, getting 50hrs avg charged to 85% max with 10hrs SOT. No wifi, all 4g.

Battery saving, 720p, 60hz, proc limited to 70%.

I will test with full res, adaptive hz, and 100% proc speed for the next two charge cycles and report back here, i expect approx 40hr battery life with 8hr SOT.

I dont game or need 120hz/wqhd+, so ill probably stick with whatever nets me the most battery life. Comfortably getting 2 daya of battery life is excellent coming from my Note7 that struggled to get 10hrs with 3hrs SOT after 5.5yrs.

Those lists are pretty aggressive and remove tons of features folks might use. Folks, don't just blindly use those without checking and knowing what you're removing. :)
    11
Here's a full list of Samsung system apps that tells you the package name, what it does, and if it is safe to remove so you can decide for yourself. I don't remember who shared this but I saved it.

    9
Here is a good list that I found, on the s21 ultra forums:

This guy also has a thread on how to do an aggressive debloat and some settings to use to crank up battery life.

Brilliant bit of work! Glad you saved it and thanks for sharing it 😁 just need my phone to be delivered now
