Hey guys,

I was running into the same bootloop issue that a some of you described and manually modified the OP's debloat script to work with my ROM, which is a rooted AT&T 3.17.502.3 with Android 4.3 and HTC Sense 5.0.

Hope you guys find it useful, and sorry for not uploading this earlier.

My debloat script contains the following app removals:
AT&T Device Help
AT&T AddressBook (Sync Client, Provider and Service)
AT&T Amazon Kindle
AT&T City ID
AT&T Code Scanner
AT&T Drive Mode
AT&T Family Map
AT&T Featured Apps
AT&T Games
AT&T Hot Spot
AT&T Locker
AT&T Messages
AT&T myAT&T
AT&T Navigator
AT&T Promo Widget
AT&T Ready2Go
AT&T SmartWiFi
AT&T YP Mobile
MobiTV
Polaris Office
TuneIn Radio
Soundhound
Mocana Key VPN

I have made a new idea on removing bloatwares. The idea is that the user can select the apps that are to be deleted in aroma. I have already made a project regarding this but only for my device. You can port it to your device and maybe share this with everyone.

Link to my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2632355

With some changes, it will work great and our community can develop!!

This is a simple flashable package with an updater script that will remove the following:

ATT Device Help
ATT Address Book Sync
ATT Amazon Kindle
ATT CityID
ATT Drive Mode
ATT Family Map
ATT Hot Spot
ATT Locker
ATT Messages
ATT myATT
ATT Navigator
ATT Promo Widget
ATT Ready2go
ATT SmartWifi
ATT YPmobile

Added to removeATTbloat5.zip:
ATT CodeScanner
ATT Games

This should work on either odexed or deodexed stock/rooted. I recommend wiping cache and dalvik after flashing in TWRP or CWM.

If you notice one of these still installed after rebooting - you can remove it via play store after flashing this zip, but BEFORE you do please get me the package name from /data/app/ so I can add it to the script to be removed

Looking for even more of a cleanse? @wevsspot has shared a script here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46916104&postcount=65) that will remove above and beyond ATT bloat. Thanks!
Considering that 4.4 is now out, I'm wanting to update without having to do a factory reset. This means I need all of the removed bloatware back. @homeslice976, is there an easy way to reverse this process using your script in the zip, as long as I can get the apks of each app, maybe from an AT&T stock 4.4 ROM or RUU?

I appreciate it. I have actually downloaded the RUU zip, but I'm looking for the apps that the debloat zip removed, since I have no computer to backup to, and would rather not go through the process of backing up in order to not use data anyways. I'm trying to find a way of extracting the apk files from the RUU I downloaded, but not having much success so far.

The zip that the ruu uses, that should contain all the apps is in a temp folder on your pc. It is under local app data. The folder name to it will change each time you run the ruu.

On another note, op, do you have one that works with the new 4.4? I ran the old and it left a few behind in system folder. Att device help, and mocanakeyvpnf and service, the new wifirouter as well.

Thanks. I actually finally got on 4.4 by using the 4.3 Stock Rooted ODEX ROM that's posted in this forum. I decided I'm not going to use a debloat zip this time, and just used Titanium Backup to backup and then uninstall the unwanted system files that were removed the last time, as well as some new ones. This way, if a new OTA comes out, all I have to do is restore with Titanium Backup, flash the stock recovery, and then accept the OTA. Now if someone could create a debloat zip for 4.4, which could then be undone by another zip that could add the bloatware back, that could work well too. Although I'm not sure it would be much, if any, faster than just doing it manually with Titanium Backup. On the other hand, if the zip included restoration of the bloatware, as well as the stock recovery, that could be flashed using the Flashify app (what I used to flash recovery), TWRP, or CWM, that would definitely be a winner. :)

EDIT: Heck, if I knew how to do it, I'd make both of those zips myself, haha.

Little confused but basically I just went through what you did. My previous setup I used this script. My new one the phone won't go S-off no matter how much i try so the script won't work anyway. But anyway I'm on 4.4.2 rooted, I recall (at least on 4.3) if you uninstall with titanium they show back up, so what do you suggest, just freezing them all? I want to be able to do the same thing as you, if by chance a new update comes out i can just restore this crap, flash stock recovery, and run the OTA

When I backed the bloatware up with Titanium Backup, and then uninstalled the apps, they didn't come back. So that's all you should have to do. Then restore them before planning to receive a future OTA.

it's not a matter of being s-off .. it's just that you need an insecure kernel and a root explorer that will make the system folder r/w.

I flashed back to stock and took the AT&T OTA update to 4.4.2
then I flashed TWRP 2.6.3.3 and SuperSU v1.93

I setup the phone then I rebooted and installed ElementalX-m7-13.0

I was then able to use ES File Explorer give it SU permission and go to tool's /Root explorer / and set root / and system to R/W.
now the stuff you delete will stay gone. Also turn the R/W back off when your done.

I would also like to add that the following apps got moved in the 4.4.2 update

system\priv-app\com.mobitv.client.tv.apk
system\priv-app\com.mobitv.client.tv.odex
system\priv-app\ATT_AddressBook_SyncMLClient.apk
