Did you try the lgflashtool 1.8 one?Thanks.. but I did that and got 36% only. Any other possible cause perhaps?

If you are getting stuck with LG UP, you can try LG Bridge -- it saved my bacon. You will probably need to double click on the blue text that says something like "check for bad flash".By pressing all 3 buttons on the back, I can see the imei and it's still intact. But I can't flash with LGup, stopped at 36% (Invalid command response). Any idea?
Thanks for the suggestion.. but.. seems like my failed LGup flash attempts are changing the port name from something like "Qualcomm 9008" to "LGE AndroidNet Serial USB", my LG bridge and some other flashing softwares are unable to recognize the port. Even the earlier QFIL only recognize it as "Non QDloader Diag Port". So far only LGup and LG flashtool are able to recognize the port and starting to flash, although none are able to finish it.If you are getting stuck with LG UP, you can try LG Bridge -- it saved my bacon. hello dear need help o make dump from kdz so please reply me or send a contact in pm i am from india thanksI read the whole thread, I wanted to share my experience with my bricked device. Here it goes...
I have LG-H961N a dual sim mobile which got bricked when I tried to restart as there was no signal. No display at all but would show Qualcomm HS-USB Qdloader 9008 under ports, but no Qualcomm MSM USB Device under disk drives in device manager. I tried to use H901's dump posted in this thread to get the device to download mode. It would go to download mode but after 10mins (I had to plug it through USB, wait for it to respond and at the 10th minute I would hold the Vol up button to get to download mode). I used 16GB Strontium and 32GB Samsung cards, in both cases I got the download mode. But when I tried LGUP to flash my correct ROM, I would get the message "Invalid KDZ or H901-->H961N". I then tried, your second solution in the thread, to change the device name in KDZ file to make LGUP assume it is the right KDZ. I managed to flash H961N10c (100% flash), it asked for reboot and then dead again.
I then found your post, the python code helped me get the LG-H961N10c (60 and odd GB) dump ready for my device, thank you very much for that :victory:, I didn't realize that creating a dump using KDZ was possible. I used HDD Guru and flashed the dump in 16GB Sandisk card, would loose most of the UserData partition in it as its size is 52GB. The phone got past the LG logo but I got this "Enter password to decrypt storage 30/30 attempts remaining". I searched regarding this issue and found the factory reset as a promising solution. I tried this and the phone would get stuck at the Android bot. It should be because of the UserData partition which is not completely flashed and the device couldn't read the remaining portion to format it.
I now ordered 64GB SDcard to try the same. One thing what I don't understand is this 10min delay to respond with both dump images (either turning on till LG logo or battery charging indication or download mode, can't get the fastboot mode using H961N10c ROM which I got using H901 dump. Maybe fastboot is not made available for LG-H961N). I ordered a new battery as well, assuming it would solve this 10min delay problem (20min before the phone got bricked it was charged in a car for 3hrs or so, would that be a reason?).
Need a little help from you regarding the following:
Is it possible to somehow modify the MBR-GPT partition using the dump image (assuming it has the partition table, please correct me if I am wrong) to reduce the size of UserData partition (52GB) to some 8GB so that the whole thing fits in 16GB card? Thanks.![]()
