It only works if you let it create the Data file. I think the post also gives instructions for changing the startup.txt to get bigger...I think.

What isn't working for me.

That sounds like an overclocking issue, maybe. Are you using SetCPU? If so, try backing it off the max frequency. From all I have read, the max you can run depends on your processor. Some can run faster than others. I think the most mine could do, without restarting, was 1190 sometimes.

I have setcpu installed but I haven't started it and am not overclocking. And the only time the phone restarts is about 15 seconds after I answer a call and can get about one sentence out. I am still downloading from market. Could that be interfering? oh and I get a FC when I try to go into settings for advanced task killer. These are probably not related but I figured I should make note of whats not working for me.

I've been using this rom for over 2 weeks now and can't get myself to try another one! I really am amazed with the software T-mo put together for the myTouch 4G, glad to see you made a solid rom for it moto!

Now that magldr is released and NAND roms are starting to be made, I really want to give them a shot but still can't get myself away from the glacier rom. Hope to see a NAND release from you moto!

I was able to boot, after a couple times trying, and yes I was charging from pc so that couldve been it. I was wondering has anyone gotten the mms to work? Ive tried a couple different settings and havent been able to.
my current settings are:
name: T-mobile US
apn: epc.tmobile.com
proxy: not set
port: not set
username: not set
password: not set
server: not set
mmsc: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
I have also tried http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms and nothing
mms proxy : 216.155.165.50
mms port: 8080
mms protocol: wap 2.0
mcc:310
mnc:210
authentication type: none
apn: not set

mines works... leave mms port and mms protocol blank... change mnc from 210 to 260 and change apn type to mms.. and use http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc under mmsc
make sure ur wifi is off and ur data is up and that there is no notification saying the download could not complete.. so if there is click them and clear them away..
do a reset when u make those apn changes btw.. when u all set click download and u will see ur data moving and ur message will download..

thats how it works for me.. without the MMS fix too also on tmous and my location is nyc if that means anything

and all of this is under t-mobile MMS not t-mobile DATA or t-mobile US apn settings
if u happen to change those.. set apn to epc.tmobile.com, leave everything blank up to mms protocol which is wap 2.0, mmc is 310 and mnc is 260, and finally apn type set to default, supl, admin, dun (write as a whole)

I have been wondering for awhile why no one was working with this ROM anymore. I really like the UI and it is perfect for those on T-Mobile. Since I have not heard anything from M-deejay about his Glacier build (He's probably working on Android 2.3) I figured we could come together to get this thing running perfectly. When booting up please keep in mind where the Desire HD builds came from and where they are now. They were TERRIBLY laggy at first and now they run really smooth. I have tried to keep this relatively stock with a few graphical changes that were to my liking. I also fattened up the system.ext2 file (around 50mb extra) so it will give us plenty of room to play around with. I will trim everything down when more things are fixed. Any devs and testers willing to help?

    What's NOT working?
    - Wifi calling (I removed it for now, it was taking up a HUGE amount of memory)
    - You tell me?

    What is working?
    - 5mp camera with flash & face detection now works
    - Mostly everything (Please let me know if you find something that isn't so we can work to get it fixed)
    - Most of the new T-Mobile apps should work now (Most require Wifi)

    Fixes & tips
    - If you have any data issues and are on T-Mobile, go into "Wireless & networks" and choose the other APN that is in the list.
    - To get 7 home screens instead of the 5 that comes stock, go into settings>>personalize and change "Home screen pages".

    Things to know!!!!
    - You might (possibly) notice things lagging a bit, and if you find something that is causing any of it please let me know. Thanks!
    - If you find something wrong or find something that will benefit the ROM please let me know too. If people want to do this I will add a list at the bottom with who fixed what (that's only fair)

***The main things I need help with are***

    (1) If you find something that may be causing the lag, please let me know :)

    (2) For some reason HSDPA seems to be stuck on all the time (at least for me) so if you see what is wrong please let me know, it may just be because its a 4G ROM.

    ***First boot setup***
    - After you boot up and log into everything in the setup, please wait until the sync icon in the status bar goes away to unlock the phone. Even after this you will notice some lag because if you like it or not the build will install all your apps from the market so this can take some time. After everything is done syncing and installing everything, please reboot your phone. When you boot back up you should be good to go but PLEASE don't unlock the phone until the sync icon goes away on first boot.

If upgrading from V0.3 you should be able to keep the same data.img

    Moto,

Any idea when your NAND version of this great build will be?

Please make it compatible with Tmous and have it as a direct download.

I'm about to see if Imilkas's Tmous version is up to par.

I hope you can have yours up and running soon!

    Thanks!

Its almost done, and it will be made for TMOUS. I will hopefully have it up in an hour or so :).

I'm not a dev, but decided to give this a try.
So far, this build is running well...except for the known contacts/myfaves and green camera with flash problems.

I tried to change mine from the 5 screens to the 7 screens, but even after several full re-boots the 5 screens still remain...anyone else having this issue?
I am uploading V0.3 that should fix almost all knows problems so just wait a little longer and you won't have to mess with those problems anymore. Ive never heard of the home screen switching to 5 before though, maybe try the suggestion from sullitf. Let's hope you won't have that problem in V0.3.
Mine switched to 7 screens no problem, not sure why it wouldn't switch. Does the checkbox revert to unchecked when it reboots, or is it staying checked but only giving you 5 screens?

May be some random problem with something on your desktop, you could try removing widgets and seeing if that fixes it. You should just be able to check the box and hit the home button, sense will reload itself

    Very good suggestion.
