I love this ROM, it's fast and stable. However, it has one major flaw, battery life.
The battery gets killed within 7 hours when the phone is on standby with wifi off and not being used (even with smartassv2 governor) which is pretty awful.
Is there a way to get more juice out of the battery with this ROM or is there another ICS NativeSD ROM that gives longer battery life?

Hi samkatta
I have great idea to safe battary life, but it is crazy Russian method - 2nd battary in wallet
:D

Thank you for the joke.
I have two extra batteries for the HD2 but it's annoying carrying extra stuff within your pocket.
Nevertheless, you did a great job with this port and I wish you can achieve more battery life in it.

I cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or you are really trying to help.

Either way, if you mean the NativeSDMultiboot app, I already did try that but that didn't seem to fix anything. When I tapped on Fix Permissions from that app, nothing happened. So I tapped on Reboot and then it asked for root permission which I granted.

Tried to open both Sound Recorder and Spirit FM again but they still FC.

I will install ROM Manager to try the Fix permissions from there.

I was trying to help, but was in a bit of a hurry. I meant to say that is weird that it didn't work from terminal.
Hope it works for you.

Oh OK. Thanks for clarifying.

Now I did not install ROM Manager, but I installed ROM Toolbox Pro and tried the Fix Permissions from there. It said it completed successfully, but when I tried to open both apps (Spirit FM and Sound Recorder) again, they still FC.

Not to bother with it, I have uninstalled and re-installed both apps and they now work fine.

Thanks for your suggestions though.

For those of you CM9 users who are interested to ODEX your ROM, I managed to re-use the tool created by wwchang that he designed for the Tytung’s JB ROM. I only edited just 3 files so it will work on CM9 ROM (refer to the attached zip). This tool will work and tested on the CM9 ROM created by c1cl0n that is installed via Native-SD ext4. I did not test this with CM9 ROM installed in NAND, but I am positive it will work too.

How to ODEX the rom via this tool? You need to just flash the zip same as you normally do in flashing a Native-SD ROM. It will take around 3-5 minutes to finish the task, so be patient.

I think it is worth doing it. I am using a Sandisk 16GB Class 4 and I noticed it enhances the ROM performance.

If you are interested to explore a bit more, you can re-use the same file to ODEX other ROMS (CM7, Hyper, other CM9s/CM10s etc). There is a Readme.txt inside the zip on how to do it. PM me if you need additional information. (Special credit and thanks to wwchang and c1cI0n)

This is the wwchang's original posting of the Odex Tool 1.0 ready-configured for the Tytung's JellyBean roms with some more description of this tool.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32811649&postcount=467

PS.
c1cI0n, if you think this is worthy, you can include the ODEX as an option in your aroma installation with your next update.

@gasanpride
I'm not sure, but you tell so I can use ODEX tool in CM7 version, is I'm right?
Sure you can use the tool on any ROM and wwchang already had his blessing as well. You just need to modify the dexo script to reflect the $BOOTCLASSPATH for CM7. You also need to change the ROM name of course.

Can you explain details for "$BOOTCLASSPATH for CM7" ?
I found in you moded script this line:
Code:
#CM9 BootClassPath
export BOOTCLASSPATH=/system/framework/core.jar:/system/framework/core-junit.jar:/system/framework/bouncycastle.jar:/system/framework/ext.jar:/system/framework/framework.jar:/system/framework/android.policy.jar:/system/framework/services.jar:/system/framework/apache-xml.jar:/system/framework/filterfw.jar
Now I don't understand about this. How I can change it for CM7 because I can't see any ROM name in code, just this comment "#CM9 BootClassPath"
:(

You can find the $BOOTCLASSPATH for CM7 in the init.rc file of CM7 initrd.gz for bootsd. Edit the dexo script and change the BOOTCLASSPATH .
As for the ROM name you need to change it in the
mount_DataOnEXT.sh and mount_NativeSD.sh

Zip the whole thing back and you have the odex tool.

Anyway I have created the ODEX tool for CM7for you. See attached. I just tested it with your CM7 ROM installed in Native-SD and looks like it is working. Just flash it and you are set.

Update 15/10/2012

Update 15/10/2012 ONLINE NativeSD PORT DEV-HOST LINK
c1cl0n nice easy update using Windows Mobile WM6.5 from previous release and your neat aroma script. Good to see odex thanks to gasanpride. Having a good ICS (CM9) is important for me so I can use Flash (BBC iPlayer) and my mobile as a wireless microphone for dictating to Dragon Naturally Speaking on my PC using WiFi.
May I suggest you add two links to your Op post on the first page:Cheers
Tom
