I was a big fan of Energy roms, I still run them on my htc fuze/raphael, but parted ways when I was having issues, and ever since I switched to the CR192 DESIRE HD haven't used winmo at all since the last week of november .

Changed so now I'll see. I flip back and forth but if I could get an Android that was stable and easier on battery life I'd stick with it. There are some look and app things I like about WM but not enough to keep me there. I'd like to be able to use Word in Android for example but I can live without it. Now I'll see if this is more stable now. Thanks for the tip, OM. ;)

Swype for HD2/EVO

I just saw back in mid Dec 2010, where is was posted that SWYPE had to place on ROM to used. It seems that on DEC 16 --->

http://www.xda-developers.com/android/swype-becomes-an-official-app-for-the-evo/

Friends of mine who have an actual EVO, told me they are getting updates for SWYPE.

Does this mean it is now available? I love this build. No problems. I use the EVO side almost exclusively for the almost a month. But I'll sneak back to THE OTHER SIDE to use my SWYPE keyboard if I've got a lot of input for emails, or if I get lazy. Thanks for an excellent product.

i was not a beta tester for Swype so after 3 or 4 months my access to the app died. however, there is an input service called SlideIT that woks just as well (even better in some instances). If you have not used it you may not look back.

GPS is not working. When I go into navigation it says searching or GPS. And it never finds it. Is there a fix for this.

Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App

???

the only problem i noticed with this build after almost a month of everyday usage is that mms sometimes is not working.

sometimes it just refuses to go out, and at times the phone says it is sent (well, there is no icon beside it .. "pending") but it never reaches destination (it is not the operator problem, cause WM works as charm everytime all the time)

so if this could be fixed i guess this build would be perfect for me, no battery drain problem, navigation perfect, gprs (hspda/edge) never drops, no problem at all :)

but .. somehow i am getting the feeling motoman forgot about us  or am i wrong ?

motoman didn't forget about us, he's had a lot of issues since he had previously smashed his hd2 , he had been trying to fix a different hd2 that was semi bricked among other things, so I'm sure he has not forgotten about us, now I'm not sure if he's gonna release another sd build, but I do know he's working on a nand rom. I don't have any problem waiting since everything works for me , even mms, so I'll be waiting patiently! :D

The MMS and other network related items seem to be on all the Android threads.
Maybe this is not specific to the ROM, but more over a radio problem.

i mentioned this mms problem a few post earlier. even with the Revo patch/fix the mms messages just stall or say they went out when they didn't. I have read people talking about DNS numbers (?!?!) and other things that may not be set to accommodate t-mo us users. However, I have not seen a definite fix for this.

With regards to moto forgetting about "us". I just saw that he has a new NAND android up in the other forum. He's on it. Looking at it, my initial impression is that he has more steps to get it working that most other chefs and he is using the Desire ROM - not the new Desire HD. I was hoping he did the Desire HD cuz it has a great feature that allows you to navigate through text without having arro buttons on the keyboards. oh well, I will keep using this until I see what i am looking for.

This is officially 'a problem'. I am having connectivity problems with my phone using this build - started a couple weeks ago. Now it's telling me I have limited service and I'm sitting right under a cell tower. Add this to poor battery live and the other issues it's rapidly entering into the 'too hard to do' catagory. I think I may either go to another build or go back to WM if this keeps up. I have a fairly new radio too. Any magic bullets out there?

The not working part is the angry birds games, although it can work after I installed it with unmount SD, but I think it's more comfortable if we can make install any application without unmount the Sd card, thanks motoman

Thank you for this ROM.
The V6. With MDJ s8.0 work, please.
Small notice:
- The passage of the mode reception Bluetooth in the mode connected just with a change of luminosity is difficult to see when we are far from the device (microphone on helmet motorcycle).
- In the taskbar the image of the mode vibrator is not very readable
- No image in mode high speaker
- When I connect my helmet motorcycle there bluetooth I have displays(postings) of my schedule and received(successful) e-mails....
In when the version 1

In version 0.6 I am using hastarin's 8.6 kernel. Kernels and builds react different to everyone depending on your setup, so if something doesn't work for you please let me know and I will fix it ASAP.

    Evo Carbon Remix V0.6 Features
-New Evo base from V0.4 and on
-Loud sound (Use DSP manager is needed)
    -Added animations
    -Android 2.3 keyboard
    -Nexus S live wallpapers
    -New themed Android Market
-Riptide power bar in notification bar ( eg. like CM6.1, GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, Cell data, flashlight and sound profile)
    -3D flip clock
    -PPP
    -Full 5mp camera with zoom
    -MIUI Music app included
    -Wifi should be fixed
    -Using hastarins r8.6
-Using letama's new V0.7 ril wrapper for better data connection
    -Multi-language
    -3-7mA in standby for me
    -No green tint in pictures
    -Face detection working
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    What's working
-All things that are working in other builds should be, unless stated below

    What's not working
    -Everything should be now

    FIXES & OTHER THINGS
    (1) If you get 1 com.phone.android force close don't be worried, you should only see it once. After you do the reboot after first boot you shouldn't see it again.
    (2) If you are on T-MOUS and are having MMS issues, see this for a possible fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8981441&postcount=250
    (3) If games such as "Angry Birds" will not install, please unmount your SD card then install then mount back after it has installed.
    (4) To use either the themed keyboard or the Gingerbread keyboard just long press in the message field and select the keyboard you want.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    First boot setup

After you boot for the first time please wait about a minute and unlock the phone then reboot immediately or everything will not work correctly!!! Once it boots back up then set everything up normally.

I also always recommend using a new data.img when upgrading to a newer build, that way no weird problems come down the road. When people report bugs i can't always tell if this is the cause or not. So please, if reporting a bug, please tell me if you used an old data.img.

No not talking about when making a phone call, it happens in the call history, When you hit phone on the main screen, if a call is coming in, I know that when you type they are all together, I could care less about that.

And I just changed the kernel about an hour ago, since I was having a huge drain on the battery I changed it in hopes it would fix this too, but didnt. :(

Like I said earlier, it will probably be your Windows ROM. Its definitely not this Android ROM. I hope I'm not coming off "over confident" but I do a lot of battery testing before releasing and I always make sure it sits around 3-8mA before putting it up. Your radio is new so the only thing left to change is your Windows ROM. You have nothing to loose by trying right? Let me know how it goes.

P.S. If you need anything just send me a PM.

nice build, smooth, and almost everything worked....but the battery for me is at 88mA on standby, where other builds, gave me 3mA to 5mA, using energy RoM and the radio with -2 on my siggy...

I have said multiple times in all of my threads that you are going to get bad battery drain on an old radio like yours. Almost all people that complain about bad battery drain have an old radio. I do all my testing on a new radio, use either 2.14 or 2.15. (Not trying to be mean, I just say this at least a few times a day, I'm going to put it in the OP).

Updated to V0.6, changelog in post #2.
