I have been using it for the last 4 days, and it is awesome..!
It's the first time I've ever used a different ROM than the Stock 2.1 one and I am really satisfied with it. Very fast and stable.
:)

I am waiting for further upgrades of Cronos ROM.

um sorry not tru stop hating ...this rom is much faster gps works quickly font is way better much more stable also battery life is much better just flash over cm6 with no wipe voila all apps are there...try it and judge for yourself

i am on cronos rom at the moment,

- treat it as a CM 6 lite
- font type has been changed
- default clock speed same as cm 6 (900mhz)
- ROM chef clearly took some ideas and thanked nadlabak (kabaldan), the maker of cm 6 milestone
- camera on this rom is exactly the same as cm 6 0.02 [29/09/10], buggy auto-focus and annoying.
- linpack scores around 12mflops, same as cm 6
- reboot time is 3-4 seconds faster than current cm 6 build
- 30 fps limit bug is still existent, no different to cm 6
- cronos boot animation not as funky as cm 6
- users might miss some cm 6 user options, for e.g custom led color blink for different alerts.
- stable with no random reboots (same as cm 6)
- uses launcher pro as default homescreen (as opposed to adw in cm6), making it easier for LP fans to set up on first install
- difficult installation process if no internet access, launcher pro app included has expired, needs to install the latest version on start up.
- battery life about the same as cm 6
- no idea if kernel tuning script has been included

installation instruction was not clear,

- cronos.zip contains update.zip and openrecovery folder
- replace these 2 files with the ones on sdcard
- also copy google apps for hdpi devices.zip to openrecovery/updates folder
- run recovery and wipe all (factory, cache and dalvik)
- choose update from zip and pick cronos 1.0.0
- immediately after installation, pick google apps
- reboot and set up phone as normal, make sure to connect to wifi first or use a SIM which has 3g data connection, then sign in to your main google account. (for wifi settings during setup, press the menu key when Google ask if you want to set up a new account or sign in an existing one)
- complete the first time android setup and launcherpro will fail to launch and direct you to launcherpro homepage. download the latest apk and install from notifications bar.

Or at least share some ideas of his work.

I'm pasting this info from several sources after googling a bit:

    # Default network type
    # 0 => WCDMA Preferred.
    # 1 => GSM Only.
    ro.telephony.default_network = 1

Also if you change ro.telephony.default_network=3 to ro.telephony.default_network=0 in build.prop it is again better

As far as I can find out 3 means GSM/WCMDA (=UMTS) autoswitching (to the strongest signal)
and 0 means WCDMA (=UMTS) prefered (as long there is a usable UMTS signal use this else use GSM)

With 0 it still switches to GSM if needed but in daily life it will it less often (so less skips), I have been using this setting for the last two days and it skips much less (battery life seems unaffected)
Last thing that does help is keeping your screen on, it seems that on the moment you switch of your screen the radio in the milestone switches to a lower power state making it more difficult to keep UMTS.... (Keeping your screen on will ofcourse kill your battery life)

As far as I understand this,

setting to 1 will use GSM only (2G). Setting to 3 will check for the best option 2G/3G. Setting to 0 will do the same as 3 but less skips. Isnt this the same as completely disabling 3G then and just using 2G, which isnt something that's called improvement but all-around-known-fact that 2G doesnt drain that much battery as 3G does?

For those who had the same problem than me:

Install the camera.apk from another froyo custom rom.
I fix my problem with that.
Now it is near of perfection :)

BTW, the the original project's page should be in the main post (the first).

    Regards

can you attach the apk you used for the camera? i would love to try it out because i have a lot of camera problems.
    1
is it all your setting correct..? coz my milestone keep restarting when i change to your setting..

Different Milestone react differently to different Vsel settings.

I have found the lowest possible stable settings for mine is 700mhz at 48vsel

    My question too..

    Anyone has the APK?

I have tried installing the new market apk.... it says installation failed.

I am now testing back and forth between Cronos ROM and G.O.T ROM

G.O.T. ROM the market automatically updates to the latest version after u use the old market a few times.

    I have 2 nagging problems with G.O.T:
    - Facebook sync don't work
    - The CPU governor does not throttle gradually. It jumps from 250mhz to max clock speed and then back to 250mhz.
    1
my RAM memory always low since im using cronos.. always <30%.. how to solve this..? any software to maintain the RAM memory >30%..?

I found my browser lag or more specifically when I view the full site of Facebook and when I am typing some text into the comment text box, there is a very bad lag between hitting the keys and the characters appearing in the text box.

Then I discovered something weird when i opened up the build.prop file in the System folder using Root Explorer.

I discovered that there were 2 lines of "dalvik.vm.heapsize=32m" in there.
So what I did was I deleted one of them and now even when the RAM is at around the 24-29mb mark, my browser does not lag.
