I have both TW and EU version of HTC-U11+ (both rooted with Magisk 18.0) and will apply OTA on TW only when RUU will be available (as I had - probably self-caused - problems during previous update of TW version).

I am not too advanced but AFAIK the phone needs to be "s-off" to change the CID to apply other region version updates smoothly, which is not available yet for HTC-U11+ (maybe I am wrong).

I hope for the EU version updates a "shortcut" directly to Android 9.0 (which was announced for HTC-U11+), otherwise the neglect of EU updates is really weired.
Hi Marusia just wondering if you have an original TW model what is the OS number displayed in the Download mode screen.
Mine because it is HKG is OS-1.24.400.3 (Might be called the mainver)

I have had no problem flashing the latest images but I cannot do the over the air update or the OTA by the zip/sd card method I get a red triangle at 25% or a 22 error .

I think I have a solution just trying to dig through the sde image where i found my OS-1.24.400.3 at offset 09FFFFF0
When i get a chance
If it is at that offset I will try and change it to the TW OS

I should maybe start a new thread

My current os is 1.24.709.93 (TW model).
You can search for your full RUU (HK/India? version) at firmware.gem-flash.com (it is there, I already checked but download is not for free), flash the RUU to return to your current os into "clean" stock (all user data, settings and data on sd card will be wiped) and try again OTA (if available). Also just re-flashing of current stock system.img alone may enable OTA afterwards. This did not solve my update problems, I had to flash whole RUU.
Always (!) make full backups before flashing.
Alternative you can try to change cid as described in htcu11+ forum.

Thanks for that I have been flashing the sys, boot and recovery images I'll try the full RUU zip method at some stage.

I actually changed the both CIDs but the update seems to check the original software install.
I was just messing around and seeing if i changed the version number would it install the update . I think I have found where its stored.

So just to confirm when you installed the RUU it updated normally over the air.

Just to let you know I finally got around to doing a full RUU flash 1.24.709.93 (TW).

I changed both CID's on SDF1 and SDE1 and also the software version just in one place ( missed placed my notes for the moment)

Tried fastboot first didn't work........ then I tried SD card method worked like a dream no errors.

Went online and it updated to 124.709.994 with no errors .

Very happy back to stock bootloader relocked and awaiting PIE.

Thanks to all the great threads .
