Defy bootloader err after custom ROM flash

Hi,
After I followed these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782832 for flash CM10 to my Defy+ and everything looks good, but after I reboot phone it just showed me bootloader with this:

err:A5,70,00,00,23
battery ok
ok to program
connect USB
data cable

So where I could done some mistake? I am sure I followed correctly all steps from thread I linked above.

Are you sure you've flashed the GB kernel and not the Froyo one?
Just start over with a stock GB rom again.

Yeah, I am sure. I download and used this file: kernel-gb-234-451-134-signed.zip

Then try again without flashing a seperate kernel altogether.

Defy + owners should not flash any kernel if using a defy + build......read instructions properly.....

You flashed an incompatible kernel. It is not needed just skip the step.

There is no mention about not using kernel if I have Defy+. There is writed:

* If you have Defy red lens or Defy+:

- Download latest image at: http://quarx2k.ru/cm10-nightly-defy+/ (Thanks to Quarx)
- Download GB kernel (Thanks to Epsylon3)
- (Only for Defy red lens) Download the Defy Red Lens Battery Fix (it's only needed for new installations, because if you're upgrading to a recent version auto-backup feature will keep it).

So I downloaded GB kernel. It's not my fault.

I will try these instruction without kernel is that all right?

Its your fault cause he wrote about Defy+ with BL6 and 2.3.4

Your probably has BL7

even if he has bl6 (2.3.6) he will get a BL error if he flashes kernel on defy+...telling from experience the day I got my phone 6 months ago

Its weird but BL6 with 2.3.4 doesn't get error with GB kernel(in fact it is needed with that), for some strange reasons. Though the build is signed as version 6 but it acts like a version 5 build.

Yup. Its been observed before too . 2.3.4 is compatible or rather accommodates both bl5&6.....I have 2.3.6...#so I had got the error

just reflashed sbf, rooted, and hen flashed defy+ rom without flashing kernel....voila!!!!!!!

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem as usrbowe.

What I have done:
- Upgraded my Defy+ with Motorolas 2.3.6 Android Version.
- Because I was not able to get root access I flashed this:

- To get the Boot loader I installed 2ndInit
- Done a Backup
- Everthing works fine with 2.3.6 for some weeks
- I want to try 4.1.1 so I followed these instructions:

=> I got the same bootloader error as usrbowe

Can anyone give me a short walkthrough including wipe and reboot how I can get cyanogenMod10 now running on my Defy+?

It is done.

I got CyanogenMod10 running with:

- Reboot into recovery
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Install CM10
- Install Gapps
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Reboot

hi guys i installed the same rom on a defy green lens mb525 i got the same err and i tried to restore using RSD lite and now my phone won't even power on. can somebody help me ? please
