That's strange because i get NO SERVICE again at home, and usually i've no problem to get a valid gsm signal....

Anyone have test it in France running Orange service ?

I've a problem with this rom (or rooted version).

The gsm signal is very poor than other 2.1 rom tested. My connexion cut at anytime, and my phone say "no service"...

With any other rom tested, i don't meet this problem.

Does anyone meet this problem too ??

I'm frusted because this rom is working very well (rooted, titanium backup so i've cleaned some apps,etc..) but without camera and poor gsm/3g signal...

I had the same weak signal problem with 2.2, especially with rooted version. Sometimes signal lossed (just emergency call), so I moved back to 2.1.

Have you tried checking the band it uses to connect? Open the dialer, type in *#*#4636#*#* -> Select "Phone information" -> scroll to the bottom and check the drop down menu "Set preferred network type"

Hmm, I didn't check it. Which option should be ticked under preferred network type?

I just tried to set both 2G and 3G options in the phone menu, but I never had this kind of issue with other ROMs.

I don't check this... But now i've just downgrade to 2.1, and network it set to GSM Auto (PRL)

So i'll try to upgrade again to this rooted 2.2 rom and check this

With UK Vodafone I have the same issue where 3G works fine but 2G doesn't with the 2.2 ROM. The *#*#4636#*#* trick does not help.

I had exactly the same problem with the @HandlerExploit 2.1 ROM which had the bp_nvm_default folder from the USA image. So I copied the bp_nvm_default folder from the Euro 2.34.1 SBF and it fixed the problem.

When I was playing with the 2.2 ROM it wasn't yet rooted so I couldn't try this fix.
Fingers crossed these files will be compatible between 2.1 and 2.2.

I've just retreive all radio file from original Motorola 2.1 rom (v2.34) and push it to the Froyo 2.2 chinese rom rooted by tentar.

It seems to solve my gsm signal issue...

update issue coming soon after testing some hour.

E/CameraHal(1159): GetNextPreviewFrame Error/1 frame:0x0, buffer:0x0

and

E/CameraHal(1159) Failed getting the calibration data!
