Hiya Folks
I'm having a few problems with the stock update of 2.1 to 2.2.
At this stage I'm not really interested in taking it further than what the stock version gives me.
My Motorola Defy (MB525) from T-mobile UK is running the following:
System Version:
Blur_version.2.51.1.MB525.T-Mobile.en.GB
Firmware:
2.1-update1
So after a bit of searching on the T-mobile site I ended up with this link.
I chose "MOTODEFY T-Mobile UK" as requested, downloaded a 20mb file and installed it.
Started the software, plugged my phone in and...
Well, not as expected. The software presents me with a blank page saying "Motorola Software Update" with the two options of 'file' and 'help'. The software is 'Motorola Software Update C01.16.23' and the file menu only gives me 'exit'.
From the Motorola page I was told instructions would be there, but it could just be something I've missed.
When the cable is plugged into the phone it gives me the 4 choices of how to handle the cable plugged in. 'Portal and Tools' is the one usually selected but I can't see how any of the others would do anything suitable.
I don't really know what else to do with this right now, and I'm not sure where else to ask to get help on this either?
