Delete firmware from memory

My mediapad shows me that over 6GB of storage are used for the firmware. Is there any way to reduce this? Or is this normal?

It's normal! The "firmware" is... Android itself!

Thanks for your answer, but I know very well that the firmware is the android operating system. I just wanted to know if 6GB is normal.
