What's important is that I can use my phone again thanks to you, I had no idea I could use the RUU to go back to stock or about the mounting of partitions, I wouldn't have been able to get in my phone to enable USB debugging if it weren't for you. You helped me quite a bit, so thank you very much for that!Ok. I was hoping that would work for you. Good luck.

No problem. Sharing knowledge is why these forums exist. I'm glad you got it going. If you haven't already...flash twrp and make a backup with it. Lol.What's important is that I can use my phone again thanks to you, I had no idea I could use the RUU to go back to stock or about the mounting of partitions, I wouldn't have been able to get in my phone to enable USB debugging if it weren't for you. (I actually posted this from my resurrected m8, THANKS!!)

Good thing to keep in mind with Titanium, restoring system apps with Titanium can be problematic, as you've now found out. If the OS has updated/changed significantly, or if you flash a different ROM, trying to restore system app is almost sure to cause issues.I was restoring a backup from the SystemUI.apk from Titanium Backup
As long as the RUU is intended for you M8 version (CID, MID) it will work. And yes, you will lose root, as well as TWRP. But it's easy to flash TWRP back to the phone with fastboot, then flash SuperSU to root again.Do you happen to know If I can just use the RUU provided by HTC to just re-flash the stock firmware? Or do I need something else?
