I'll believe it when I see it, AND when Stephen has gotten his hands on it, AND when I've got a ported version for my 4G 7
I'm not sure why they wouldn't update both at the same time. Some websites have said that T-Mobile is not supporting the S7 any more, but it is still for sale on their site.

Looks like they have left over inventory. Its a shame that neither Dell nor T-Mobile wants to promote their products. I don't recall ever seeing an add for the Dell Streak 7. How can people buy them if they don't know anything about it. I have to say Samsung & Apple is doing a great job at advertising their product.

Actually I think they are refurbs. But the point is that if they are still selling it they should be supporting it with updates.

The upgrade was also available for my device yesterday evening.

Now I'm a happy honeycomb user :)

Pros: Everything is faster now. Does honeycomb use both CPU cores?
I can now install applications which were not compatible when my device was on android 2.2

Cons: I think the screen clarity is worst than before. The on screen fonts and icons/widgets were better in android 2.2, most probably cause there are smaller now

Does anyone know will the Over The Air update work on a rooted DS7, or do you have to unroot it in order to update. I am assuming that the rooted DS7 will see the update because it is just a website, right?

You will most likely have to unroot. I wouldn't attempt it on a rooted device.

Root = updated su permissions + superuser.apk. Neither would affect it.

On a X.X.X to X.X.Y upgrade, you'll also have to be concerned about if you removed apk's or otherwise modified things.

In the case of Froyo to Honeycomb, I'm pretty sure it's going to nuke /system entirely and that won't matter at all.

being rooted NEVER matters to the ota updates on dell devices, the only thing that matters is having the stock recovery installed.

If whoever got the wifi version could post any details about their old rom version or the newly recieved one I can prepare update notes
