Well just got my Dendrobates screen protector in that I ordered on Amazon and I'll review my first impressions as of yet. Packaging came with an alcohol pad, dust absorbers, a material covered cardboard card that helps you get your bubbles out and obviously the protector. Material is similar to PET just a little more rigid but still flexible unlike tempered glass.
I would say the install was somewhat easy but kind of a pain in the butt. When you get your screen ready to install, you need to make sure you don't have dust anywhere. Then as you remove the bottom plastic that covers the adhesive I'd suggest never to tilt it any direction other then facing down so that you minimize the risk of having dust get on that side. Here's the pain in the butt part, after lining it up, and as you get the bubbles out, you then move on to remove the top protector off. As soon as you remove the thin plastic, it raises the actual screen protector as well and brings back all the bubbles you got Out in the first place. My opinion is just put it on, take the thin film off then get the bubbles out. I managed to get one speck of dust on the left side which you'll see in the pictures but I'll live with it for now.
The feel of it is quite smooth, can't tell it's not glass as of now, spen has no problem with it. Fitment it could be slightly wider, maybe 1 or 2mm to show the whole screen cause I can see where it cuts off but it's not horribly noticeable. I have seen a slight bubble occasionally forming on a curve but I keep pushing it out and seems that it gets better as I do this. Screen is Very responsive, better then any of my tempered glass I have tried and I can actually text and not give off the impression to the recipient's of my texts that I'm a stumbling drunk with all errors in spelling my tempered glass gave off. Clarity on it is amazing clear, pretty inpressed with that aspect of it. I've read from others that this might scratch easy but I have also read from the company that they have worked on this and should be more resistant to them.
I paid 19.99 for this from Amazon, and I will update you as on whether I think that's a good purchase after a few days with it. I'm headed out to Texas to help in the recovery efforts after hurricane Harvey, and I'll be back in a few days with some real world experience with this protector. Attached are pictures and feel free to ask any questions on it, but don't ask me to drop it to test it, I won't do that on purpose, and I hope to never find out. If you all want any other pictures of it or angles let me know.
