@fgnm If i hold the phone horizontal, and am switched to camcorder, the app crashed, other way crashed as well.
Why has the 1080p HFR video in every fps so bad quality? In HSR is all ok. Am on original Cyanogen Os 12,1 rooted.
And why the camera doesnt focus ,if i start recording, and If TOUCH AF is off, then i am unable to focus anything. Can you implement, that if start recording without enabled TOUCH AF, that the camera focus by pressing first time record button. I know if i have FOCUS MODE in camera option set to CAF, then the videorecorder will focus automatically, but if i have this option set to AUTOMATIC nad in video mode is TOUCH AF off, then its unabled to focus.
Sorry for my bad english, hope you understand me. and TY for reply you doing good work.

Really do you think that Cyanogen would implement Camera2 API on our OPO? Maybe with Android 6.0 complete release? I loste any hope with the "big" update to Lollipo 5.02 that hadn't introduced anything of very interesting (at least on the camera) :(
Hope dies last :)

@fgnm does HSR 120 FPS on 720p working FIR you?

As I wrote in the first post HSR doesn't work on any CM or COS based ROM, only with CAF ROM with CAF HAL driver.. There isn't any chance to get it working on CM (read previous pages)
With HFR you must loose quality even if the resolution is 1080p or 720p, this is HFR..
For focusing in camcorder you're right, I will implement your suggestions, and also fix the landscape bug :)

So it means, that when i use HSR it record like in normal mode (with disabled VIDEO HIGH FRAME RATE) on 1080p and 30 fps? Only HFR works with 60/90/120 fps? And i read back some posts, that it record 60 / 90 / 120 fps in normal speed (30 frames) but it didnt... The video is slow-60, slower at 90, and most slowest at 120fps in HFR on 1080p. In 720p it is same.
And another question, in mpeg4 its unable recording HFR 60/90/120? Because the record button doenst work.

Thank You for your reply and great work... (and sory for my bad english)

Yes, on stock COS/CM HSR = normal video recording.
HFR instead does not mean that you will have a video at 60/90/120 real fps. It is always 30fps (as you can see in any details of a video player), but the camera record 60/90/120 frame per second and then make a 30fps video (this make the effect of slow motion). On the other side HSR record a video at 60/90/120 fps and then make a video at 60/90/120 real fps (the video appears more and more smooth), to use HSR you have to flash a CAF based ROM.
MPEG4 for slow motion is not enabled in default settings of CM/COS ROM, so to use MPEG4 with HFR you have to replace the file media_profiles.xml, I've wrote everything about that in first post
See you ;)

nope, hope is what WE KILL last ;)

am I the only one have issues with "can't connect to camera" FC message?

btw, if you intent to use Google Camera's Photo-sphere method, do you think it will be possible to use it and re-render old shots taken?
(had some problems with GCam as it crashed couple of times while rendering a photo-sphere and/or a panorama, s-o I've managed to "rescue" cached data with photos and meta info and etc. for THE HOPE (lol) that someday I would be able to re-render them) What do you think? is it possible to make such option? hope you got my point clear (not a Englishman you know :D )

EDIT : here are some logs

Hi, can't connect to camera is sometimes related when you use incompatible features, try to clear app data (and reboot). For photosphere I'm not sure, but I think that I can enable rendering in the camera right now.. I will try :)
I'm not able to download your logs, could you post in an other cloud? Thanky you

try these : https://drive.google.com/folder/d/0BwsE1N7puJrkbTd3SnlDM2lMR1k/edit

so how will it work? will re-render content from a specific folder?

EDIT :
and one more thing, IMHO it would be awesome if OTA Checker would have a download button ;)

Your error seems to be related to your camera HAL driver. What ROM + kernel are you using? If you are on stock are you sure to have correctly flash modded HAL?
Totally agree with download button :)

What's the difference between the 100% jpeg and super fine picture quality?
Actually I don't know :p when you set 100% the quality is set directly in the parameters. Normal, fine and superfine are system presets values, I think (but not totally sure) that superfine equals 95%

Hi everyone. @fgnm, thanks for this awesome work. really nice camera which pushed me to Lollipop finally (despite the worse battery life compared to kitkat).
one question though - is it possible to implement checks for the different conflicting tweaks user enables and prohibit to use them in such cases (e.g., grey them out, provide additional dialogue window etc)
if it is doable I can test all the tweaks - which are conflicting and which are not and provide a list. if needed.

I think that will be the most useful feature at the time. 'cause I personally hate to see spinning circle 7 out of 10 times, especially when this is one-in-a-lifetime moment, hard to use as a daily driver in the current state. with checks in place I don't see any reason not to use it all the time.

thanks for your reply and hard work on this
