Depressing in this forum! ?

Hi...I got my Tf300T on 4th. My problems with it:
I initially downloaded all the apps on my S2 thinking the 32GB would be enough to run all the apps. But..it slowed down like a snail and lot of apps were Force closing.

So did a factory reset and I am now installing apps one by one. The browser and the play store are still very laggy. Slightly better since using ICS+ browser.

I now have a 32GB memory card but there is no way to install Apps2SD...until I root. I don't want to root....since this was a gift and I do not have any buyer info and then so can only send it to Service centre but cannot exchange or anything. As far as I know, there is no unroot!

Tried playing six guns yesterday to see if it would do any better and the character just disappeared after like 3 minutes of playing.

Also, I get about close to 3 hours of screen time. I charge the dock and the tab everyday. Is this normal?

I love this device otherwise...but it is getting hard day by day.

Please let me know of any solutions that you guys might know...

I have unrooted a few times for returns. I have 3 tf300's that are rooted.

This doesnt sound normal at all. Im on stock still and I've had no problems with laggy apps except ones where they werent actually supported on the TF300 and I transfered them over using titanium backup. Ive had one issue witth games where sometimes the screen freezes on one image and you can still hear the game running behind the still but it wont un-freeze until you force close the app through app manager. And as for you battery life that is EXTREMELY abnormal. Ive heard of people having low battery life at around 5-6 hours (with just the tab) but with the dock that is extremely weird. with the dock I ususally get a full days worth (7:30am-10:00pm) and still have about 20-30% battery left in the tab (dock is dead by then). Id recommend trying to return it and/or sell it and get a new one. Its a great tablet if you dont get a borked one (which there seem to be a lot of).

If you try to use the tablet Whilst it's downloading, it is slow sometimes. I also get laggy browsing and play store but not too bad. Yours seems quite bad though. Maybe a cold boot could help but I don't know much

I'll try to look closely about the battery. What is the ideal screen time? I have been downloading just a couple of apps everyday...not too many. I will see how this goes to.

So there isn't anyway of tranferring to SD without rooting?

I've read that some folks get 8 hours of battery life with the screen on - Engadget claimed that with continuously running video and brightness at 50%, I believe. I don't really pay much attention to my battery life because it lasts plenty long for me, but the last time I checked after running it mostly for browsing in balanced mode and about an hour (maybe more?) of GTA3 on performance mode with Wifi off, I got about 5 hours of screen on time with the brightness around 25% or so. I don't use any special battery-saving tweaks.

So far this charge, I'm at 48% battery left after 21 hours; 2.5 hours screen on time, all in balanced mode, Wifi on, brightness at 25%.

Thanks! I will make more tests based on this. I do not want to sell or exchange this device and so will try to fix it as much as I can.

So I'm at 24% after 22 hr 53 m with screen time of 3hr 50m. Has been always at 25% brightness. Played a couple of games (HD). Read some news, browsed the net. That's it. What do you guys think? Normal or defective?

Sounds comparable to mine. I was at 48% with approximately the same uptime, but I had about an hour and a half less screen on time, which is the biggest factor. Plus, some of your time was spent playing HD games, which will drain your battery even more.
