That's why I cancelled my order from clove which costs about SGD940+ plus tax and they delayed the shipment order. If I can get it on Oct 6 as promised initially, I would have bought it from Clove. Now it's delayed and I can get it from SG with a lower price..

Ya agree, but I can't wait and think that $888 is a very good price already and since I'm getting from an authorised HTC distributor. I believe there are others selling at $799 but don't want to take the risk, incase it turns out to be an export set and not a SG localised set..

Hey all, I'm new to the forums as well! Been a iPhone 3G user for over 2 years and bought a HTC Desire after being sick of the iOS.

Let's just say that after using Android and being fully immersed in it that when my batt went flat one day & I had to switch to my 3G for a little while I nearly wept, lol. Couldn't take the icons just staring back at me for some reason. It was like as if the phone had no life/personality.

Android blew my mind & it's safe to say that I won't be going back to an iPhone

I'm patiently waiting to upgrade to the HD, why it is taking so long Singapore? GAH.

Not sure which are the dealers mentioned in HTC website but AAA's is an authorised dealer. Ya, it's $888. Had to put down $50 deposit for pre-order.

Seems like they are bringing in limited sets to asia region.
Guess they focusing more on uk's preorder i think.
so make your way to preorder at AAA's (funan) if you need to!
Stay away from simlim sq unless you wanna get a export set that requires to shipp your phone to the uk to repair which will take 1 month.

But seems like there are no possible gifts you can ask for.

All the screen protector and such also not launched yet.

My Xperia X10 was stolen in a club on Friday night so I'm desperate for a new phone. Currently all I have is my crappy HTC Diammond. I really need a more firm release date, if it's anything over 2-3 weeks then I'll buy a normal desire and just trade in when the HD is released.

i also bought a Sanyo eneloop mobile booster at $40 also in anticipation of either the Z , DHD or Desire . but I think spare batts are already on eBay already .

why u wana waste money like that ? trade in surely give u a rubbish deal one and even if u sell it off , its still a hassle , why not just bear for awhile longer ? no one can give a definite answer when it'll be launched but all indications point to next mth

you can based on the HD2's initial price offerings as a guide perhaps?

i would guess the phone with second tier of the voice+data plan would come probably around $210-$300 range?

im taking the current iphone's plan as a guide.

based on previous prices of the high end htc android phones , it should be high $400+ for the cheapest plan with data. if RRP is $800+, contract price should be a few hundred less. even with the iPhone 4 with an RRP of $1k+, it's still selling at nearly $500 with the cheapest data plan so dhd or the z shouldn't be too far off.

Believe iPhone is heavily subsidised. Hopefully they will do the same for this device but not the $300 penalty.
