If you're already using ICS you can save screenshots directly with your tablet by pressing vol- and power ;-)

Thank you so much Peacemaker2000 for sharing your code and ideas.

It works like a charm getting the keys from a remote control and using the data for your own app. I would really like to know what kind of parameters you have to send to get a full keylist of a TV.

Right now I'm just saving the key data from my remote control and don't have any clues how to generally get all possible keys my TV understands. Would be great if you or anybody else who knows this, could share it with us.

If anybody would like to have a functional piece of code from my current prototype, just let me know, right now I have no problems of controlling my Sony Bravia KDL-32W4000.

it seems there is only one developer working on a sony-ir app worldwide.... therefore we should be patient and hope that there will be a final version some day

Relax guys, I'm working on it and you'll get 0.2 soon enough.

I was a bit unsatisfied with the overall code structure of the project, so I made some refactoring and now I'm beginning to implement newer stuff. Perhaps I'll give out a 0.1.2 beforehand to see if stuff is working for you people, that I recently improved/fixed.

I want to make sure that 0.2 won't break the domain model and that everything is backwards compatible, so I'll need some time testing.


Also I'm a bit more occupied with my job right now, so it's going along slowly (but also steadily ).

thanks for this project but can someone please tell me how i delete a device from airemote.
An can someone tell me in simpel english or in airemote for dummy,s how i can make a button that starts up mine tv, mine dreambox and mine receiver and set mine tv and receiver on the right input.
So what i mean is this i press the button tv: now is starting mine tv on en input is on 5, mine receiver start up and the input is set to sat and mine dreambox starts up.
I hope there is someone here that can en will help me

if you're more comfortable in posting in another language then do so. I don't know what your mother tongue is, but if it's either German, Russian, Bulgarian, French or Spanish, I'm perfectly fine with unterstanding those.


To your problems:

Removing things is not possible yet, but it will come in the next release. For now you have to cope with keeping all data, except the one within a makro (see next).

For defining makros - a remote key that sends multiple keys at once -, you first need to define a device (or multiple devices) with keys.
Then you define a remote and switch to "Edit" mode (press "E" in action bar).
You'll see all your defined devices in the right sidebar. Click and hold on one key inside a device and drag and drop it inside your remote. Now you have a remote key, that you can drag around and change its size by pinching. If you drag and drop another key from a device inside the newly created remote key, you can create a makro.


Beginning with the next release I'll start to do some video tutorials, so that it will become pretty clear what to do with the app.

the possibility to create buttons that dont trigger IR events, but just switch the remote. Next level would be a way to set images as remote and define areas as button (like html image maps). Now remove all the menu-stuff and tädä fully customizable ultra-power remotes

Helllo i have a question when i add in sony remote a tv the aniremote gives two devices so i worked out 100 buttons alot of work but it worked.
Now i added a av receiver because not all buttons work properly i didnt touch the next button so aniremote had still two devices so i did it mannualy , i just toke the buttons that i need but when i in aniremote i have suddenly twelve devices wit over 500 buttons to test and rename. What do i do wrong
