-Reverting the partition changes will cause a factory reset type loss (Read: clean slate).I am very interested in this.
But currently I have no Galaxy Tab S2. I am looking into buying one...
I have three questions:
If I install this, is it easy to revert the changes (just in case)?
Is it possible to flash a new rom / kernel (or stock rom) without problems?
Does flashing a new rom override this?
So far reverting the partition changes by reflashing stock haven't worked. I got the newest firmware and it flashed fine back to stock but left my other partitions (and data) intact... It is going to be tough to test on my device if I can't revert back to "new". I haven't tried checking the re-partition box in Odin because I haven't found any info on it...2 people got a hold of me so... I will rework my scripts and see what I can do. As of now the install script only gets half done and then you have to manually do some formatting and copying. I also am going to make sure anyone can go back to stock, both with the current partitioning and full stock (e.g. take an OTA, sell the tablet, etc).
Wish me luck. :silly:
Flash the stock firmware with the relevant pit file and select repartition. This should put the partitions back to stock. So far reverting the partition changes by reflashing stock haven't worked. So, this leaves reverting via another recovery script. I'm sure it will work but that is not the best way...
Thanks! Good. Only info I found was... DO NOT SELECT...Flash the stock firmware with the relevant pit file and select repartition. This should put the partitions back to stock.
oh,well.... Partitioning still corrupts the data partition when installing and requires reinstalling the stock recovery temporarily to fix it.Restoring partitions was successful with no loss of data! It will be possible to revert to stock as needed... I'm now moving on to the installers...
