The 1st section of flash_signed.bat (to write serial to SN.txt worked OK, the stuff afterwards showed a device not found error message ((EDIT: Brainfart, perhaps it was the wrong nvflash (as fastboot) ID it was looking for, ie I had installed TWRP and it was for some reason looking for the recovery (non mod) image ID, as I said, I had two Fastboot id's).
I can't re-check at moment, in pub,, but I think is correct.
I see you are very active, saw your posts on nvidia developers forum, glad you had your prob sorted.
Anyway, also sorted here so no reply necessary, thanx.

I guess this could be important, so I repeat EDIT: from post #22 here,
(EDIT: Brainfart, perhaps it was the wrong nvflash (as fastboot) ID it was looking for, ie I had installed TWRP and it was for some reason looking for the recovery (non mod) image ID, as I said, I had two Fastboot id's).

In relation to the nvflash stuff in flash_signed.bat.
Again, no reply necessary, but might be of interest to sombody that has some idea of what they are doing., ie not me.
(I had originally left in the kitkat boot.img when trying to re-install JellyBean with TWRP).

Hi Guys. I'm having a hell of a time with this.
I can access APX mode and "ADB Devices" tells me "XX00Serial Number00XX Host"

Any command I use to try and use NV flash doesn't work. How exactly do you do it? What commands are entered to start the process? Sorry I am very new to this.

APX will need yet another driver installed, point it at the VegaNote7\usbpcdriver\ directory.
Mine is (from USBDeview), APX NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for Mobile devices Vid_0955&Pid_7535.

After that is installed, you use 'Flash_signed.bat' to install, I would not suggest you try to use the nvflash command yourself.

Any idea how long this process takes, Trying to use this to un brick my tablet and just has a blinking cursor for a few minutes now. Nothing is displayed on the screen. Got the APX drivers installed correctly

A message says Cant start to flash Serial number is invalid. and flashes pretty quick and closes. Any idea how i would fix this thanks

The same issue. Entered APX mode, installed driver (NVidia USB boot-recovery driver for Mobile devices) and tried to run flash_signed.bat.
But it just printed "Can't start to flash. Serial Number is invalid!!!" and that's all. :(
Could anybody please help with this? Thanks in advance

I have started to notice that a few members have managed to get their tablets into APX Mode. Normally i would do an APX Flash for you to 4.3 to get the tablet working. Now i am going to be uploading a Advent 4.4.2 OTA 2-5 APX image set for you.

Now there is a few changes in the flash_signed.cfg to where it calls a NCT File directly (Where the Serial is stored) which will need modding.

Currently there is a line in the NCT_gp file with the following.

Code:
<name:serial_number; idx:0; tag:0x80; data:TEGRANOTEGP00A123456>
This will need to be changed to your devices serial number which should be on your box that come with the device so for example the change will look like

Code:
<name:serial_number; idx:0; tag:0x80; data:0521309919939>
When you run the flash.bat it will then look for the nct_gp file and then flash the serial number directly instead of trying to get the serial number dumped to a text file and it not always working.

Should be available some time next month and i will post a link to the New 4.4.2 APX image.

so if I dont have a box with SN and I cant get it via that Vega Script, Im doomed?

PM me the serial number for your device bud if you can find it on your box it would be great. I take it your device is bricked ?

I have a Dedicated thread for APX HERE

Which once certain images are available will be placed in the OP.

Also if you can't get your serial number all it means is that you can not download OTA's directly from nVidia you'll only be able to download from websites such as here with the files uploaded.

Hi guys,

The tablet (evga tegra note 7) just wouldn't start this morning. But it looks like it enters APX mode. I downloaded the above. When I try, I get the following:

That looks to be down to the bootloader. Which pack did you use the Advent Branded or Unbranded?

Give the unbranded version and see if that works. Else it can only be down to a failure somewhere in the nand.

can you do a printscreen of the directory please bud. It would seem its something to do with partitioning by what i can read up on the error codes.

However there is other device's using APX mode with the same error codes being a NAND failure outright.

How long did you have the tablet for?

Also another question are you using Windows ? if not give Windows a try.

Thanks for replying. Not sure about how the screenshot can help, so here's the folder screenshot:

And here's the content of the partition table (it always fails on GPT, last partition).
