dude no problem ive had 2 test yesteday and 2 tests and a public speach to make today so no problem.

and to answer the questions. 1. all i did was ask, and he said yes and 2. the NVM post wasnt a reply to rashed but to the boot.img post

EDIT
By the way, did anyone else get an update from AT&T? ive been postponing it for a while and it just went ahead and installed. anyone know what it contains?

It updates your build to 1.08.504.1, don't bother updating since that version doesn't support moonshine so no S-OFF.

okay so AT&T pushed the update to my phone. aka i postponed it for 8 hours wich is the max 4 times then it just installed itself as soon as i took it off the charger. weird.
so what now? can i downgrade? cause obviously i need s-off haha

EDIT
And no i dont have a backup haha, i havent rooted it yet, im still enjoying a REAL AOSP experience and im liking it very much. i can finaly have more than 3 apps installed, i have a good enough screen, i can swype to type, i can use SNAPCHAT woohoo, and SKYPE Woohoo, and google now and google voice work finaly haha

EDIT2
and i have NO data plan on AT&T, so i basicaly just got a micro sim and plugged it in. and btw the scratch proof glass, can be scratched ill show later, and um...so as soon as ATT does the data sweep, they will charge me 20 bucks for 300mb of data. a year ago it was 15 bucks for 500mb or so

try rumrunner ? maybe it can S-off on it, it uses an entirely different process than moonshine like i mentioned in that guide i made you before.

Did you try downgrading via RUU flash of older stock rom?

What you scratched the glass? This is particularly worrying for me because I don't have a screen protector on. Could you PM me the pic?

ya it is. and there is one already in the forums so rashed has it and is already working on a test build...he is definately very quick at this...so test build will be out quite soon! :good:

I'm not that fast, but this phone isn't that complicated, so yes I might have one for you to test tonight.
    4
The kernel is done, I'll push that to GitHub in a few min. It's gonna be 3.4.49

Now the device folders and vendor stuff. I'll probably end up building it tomorrow.

All the repos for this project are here: https://github.com/htc-first
Once I'm done with it all, I'll see if CM will be willing to accept it and make it an officially maintained device.
    3
No, but I can use a prebuilt kernel. However, that will only be a last resort.

no need to use a prebuilt. i got a kernel building perfectly fine, just not pushed any of my changes to github that's required to build it.

i'll do it once i got CM built and out

btw doing 4.3 is pointless until 4.1 boots

to test my theory that 4.3 won't boot

    http://downloads.kanger.me/?dir=unstable/operaul

FULL LOGS if you DO NOT know how to logcat then don't bother with this, also kmsg's and everything else

THE BOOT.IMG INSIDE THE ZIP NEEDS TO BE FLASHED IF YOU ARE NOT S-OFF'D
    3
I'm running a test build now with the files I pulled from another developer's repos. I know it's gonna need a ton of work but if it actually builds and boots then there won't be much left to do.
