I don't think this has been done yet, so I'm throwing the idea here. This would require some functionality that's associated to custom ringtones etc, so I doubt this app would find its way to Marketplace, but would be greatly appreciated through other distribution ways. I'm thinking about a simple Profile app, which would function like a shortcut to change multiple ringtone and sound settings through one view.

What I have in mind is a selection like this (the entire app would only use a single list like below):
  • General - Ringer: On, Vibrate: On, user's default ringtone and notification sounds
  • Silent - Ringer: Off, Vibrate: Off, all notification sounds disabled
  • Pager - Ringer: On, Vibrate: On, ringtone and sms/e-mail notification sound set as a single "beep" (Nokia-like single beep sound)
  • Beep - Ringer: On, Vibrate: Off, ringtone and sms/e-mail same as above
  • Offline - Airplane mode
What do you think of this?

ScummvM people here are saying it's not likely to happen. Shame, would've been awesome :/
Yup. This is another situation where a popular app cannot move to WP7 because MS does not allow native access (ie C++).

There is a chance this could change however as MS are keen to have some bigger players move their apps across, and have said that they may allow native access for certain developers. Still, ScummVM could not be a marketplace app because it is an emulator, so it would have to be a sideloaded hobby app. We'll just to have to wait and see.

Something i REALLY REALLY miss on WP7 is a decent bridgebuilder. Im on the verge to learn developing and make one my self.

Damn i hate my friends for there Android and HTC X Construction.
We only got stupid worthless Xbridge, which is overpriced and carelessly build.

DVR by remote

Hi mine is a request for a specific app able to see dvr and cameras on each wp7 device. An app like QQEYE for win mobile or like CPLAYER for iphone that permitts to see remote cameras or dvr through DNS account. I think that someone has already thought this project cause it can be a very useful application that doesn't exist for Wp7 platform now. Actually app like IP CAMERA has a few of functions and there is not possibility to see H264 dvr. So champions realize it please!;):)

I think some form of app that could TIDY up the apps screen.

I.e creates sub lists

Code:
Apps - Money
     - Fun
     - Sport - Football
             - F1

Hope you can see what I mean, as the apps screen just gets bigger and bigger as you install apps some way of making it tidy would be Great.

An EQ for WP7 would be a nice addon...
Unfortunately it's not possible by official way (using WP7 Silverlight or XNA frameworks). The only solution is a software equalizer but it's required a lot of work (audio should be decoded "on-the-fly" to PCM format) and will affect to handset performance and battery usage ('cause of CPU load). Another way is to use a native libraries (as HTC did for their Surround) but it's not for third-parties...

Data Monitor Usage

Like SPB Wireless Monitor?

Have tried to find anything in the SDK which would allow me to do this but cant find anything useful, BUT there are two apps in Marketplace which does exactly this BUT for SPECIFIC apps (not the connection itself).

Oh, and does anyone know if OpenNetCF is/will be useable when coding for WP7?

You know what games I don't see enough of on any of the platforms? Catapult games. I'm talking about games like Toss the Turtle, Burrito Bison, or Bezerk Ball. Even something like Learn to Fly would fit in.

Shoot something out of a cannon (or launch down a ramp, hit with paddle, whatever) and try and get further by picking up upgrades and hitting bad guys. Even a little tilt control for some basic control.

Thats my $.02. Hope to see one in the market soon!

I think a really useful app for my htc Sprint arrive. Is an app like wifi router for windows phone 7 devices.

I had this on my htc touch pro 2 and it was awesome.
Please make it so. ;-)

[APP/PROJECT] App Idea - DJVU WP7

It would be nice to have a DJVU reader for WP7, there is alot of open source code floating around, and I just don't have the skill to format it for WP7.

This would be a useful app though.

Idea for an app, but unsure about a few things..

For whatever reason, the wireless network at my work doesn't work well with my LG quantum. There is a proxy that needs to be bypassed through the web browser and it works 1/4 of the time. Now on to my point, I am looking to design an app that can turn my wireless off based on my GPS location. That way I don't have to remember to turn it off. Is there a way to directly access the WiFi controls through the application?

Just my two cents:
First, developers have no access to WiFi (right now), officially.
Second, this app would need to run in background all the time which won't be possible due to lack of 3rd-party-multitasking.
