Yup. This is another situation where a popular app cannot move to WP7 because MS does not allow native access (ie C++).ScummvM people here are saying it's not likely to happen. Shame, would've been awesome :/

Unfortunately it's not possible by official way (using WP7 Silverlight or XNA frameworks). The only solution is a software equalizer but it's required a lot of work (audio should be decoded "on-the-fly" to PCM format) and will affect to handset performance and battery usage ('cause of CPU load). Another way is to use a native libraries (as HTC did for their Surround) but it's not for third-parties...An EQ for WP7 would be a nice addon...
