I'm new to WP7 so I don't know if these are possible:

-A live tile that displays battery percentage.
-Disabling WiFi sleep (Although I think that someone said there is no access to WiFi).
-Emulators and Roms are always a plus.
-I assume most of the awesome games from Android and Iphone will be ported over eventually (hopefully sooner than later).
-A hide photos application.

Source code for PSX4Droid now available. Anyone want to do a WP7 port?

Anyone wanna take a crack at porting the now open-source PSX4Droid to WP7 homebrew? I'd do it myself, but I'm just in the beginning stages of my Computer Science program so I'm not skilled enough yet.

Source is attached.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet or if the APIs even exist yet, but I think a good many people would love an SMS app that does auto retry instead of the manual "Can't send click here" thing that WP7 comes stock with. I know there are Android, Iphone, and WM 6.5 apps for this so porting for the right developer shouldn't be that hard. That is IF the APIs are there and we can access them.

Some App Ideas/Requests (not sure if these apps can be created or not)

Hulu App - watch the large library of tv shows, and clips from Hulu on your WP7

IM App - an instant messenger that works with aim, yahoo, windows messenger, etc. (all-in-one)

---
These are just apps that would be really great if they existed. Consider them?

[Q] Caller profile app?

This question seemed to go unnoticed elsewhere, but as this is relatively simple app and I'm certain there are plenty of other people who would have use for this as well, I thought about asking it here.

What I have in mind is a selection like this (the entire app would only use a single list like below):

General - Ringer: On, Vibrate: On, user's default ringtone and notification sounds
Silent - Ringer: Off, Vibrate: Off, all notification sounds disabled
Pager - Ringer: On, Vibrate: On, ringtone and sms/e-mail notification sound set as a single "beep" (Nokia-like single beep sound)
Beep - Ringer: On, Vibrate: Off, ringtone and sms/e-mail same as above
Offline - Airplane mode

What do you think of this? I'm feeling kind of frustrated seeing Microsoft presenting the most complex Qantas livetile flight information applications coming with Mango etc, but something as common and simple as this isn't mentioned anywhere...

The three most crucial things, not including battery life, I look for in a phone are 1) Sports trackers or alternative (Endomondo is great here), 2) Spotify (coming... come faster please?;) and 3) caller profiles (been around for ages) and now I'm only missing one, but that one could be enough for me to ditch the entire platform for now, which in turn I'd hate to do :/

I'm fairly certain this is coming with Mango, but it would be considered a consumer feature, and as such would not been announced yet.

I would go one better though and want developer access to this. Using background agents to change profiles based on time and location (you're at work - phone is silent for example) would be great.

Not sure if reg edits should be included here or not...

I would like to be able to reg edit and adjust how long you have to hold down the search or back capacitive touch buttons before they respond. I often accidentally hit those buttons, but if there was a delay required for them to respond, I think that could be avoided.

I don't know why this hasn't been made so far, but applications like Penetrate for android is really needed for any platform...

So, the idea is that a simple applications searches for wireless networks and if it's one of the usual hotspots SPEEDTOUCH, THOMSON etc then the code is found from the dictionary or the algoritm (http://www.gnucitizen.org/blog/default-key-algorithm-in-thomson-and-bt-home-hub-routers/)

Dictionary and details for the similar android application can be found here: http://underdev.org/penetrate/thomson-dictionaries/

I have a great idea for a game, but have no knowledge of coding, but the controls and such would be similar to Glyder. Full 3d world and all sorts of fun. Anyone know a good place for a tutorial for 3D gaming? and my 3d models, what kind of resolution do I need, I assume I don't need super smooth 3D models as the phone can't handle it right?

Metacritic Tile

I'd love to see an app that display a Live Tile of the currently playing album and discreetly (already done the design) display the Metacritic rating of the album. I would code it if I knew that could be done (do we have access to the currently playing album title, is it possible to scrape Metacritic album rating?)

App request for a temporary full bright screen "switch".

I have a Focus with a SAMOLD screen, so I usually keep my screen brightness to low+auto to reduce screen burn in and save battery. Ocassionally, I have been outside and wanted to share photos, so I go through the settings menu, set the screen to full bright, and hand the phone over to show off the pics. More than once, I have forgotten to turn the settings back down again and the battery gets killed...

I just wish there was a tile that sets it bright, but returns it to the previous state after a time out...

Prolly not possible, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Running App with interval timer

There are several running apps. Silly thing is they all have the same basic feature set. And none of them seem to have the basic needs of a runner. I need a GPS enabled, media playing running app with an Interval Timmer. Why on earth would you make a running app with no interval timer.

Back ground: Most serious runners know that for training, you should be running with short walking breaks (eg. 10 min running 1 min walking, repeated 3 to 5 times, this would be call 10and1s). This allows your training session to last much longer. Apperantly, even marathon runners do this. It actualy imporves there overall time because the never "hit the wall".

App idea: aetherphone - a musical theremin on your phone.

"Turn your phone into a robust musical instrument."

I am an artist and can do UI if a developer wants to tackle this. A theremin can be described here:
Here is a demo screenshot I made:

in this demo picture it is showing the "R" reverb filter being scrubbed to 54% the text on screen quickly fades away once the affected button is released.

How to play:
The screen will be able to operate with the vertical axis as pitch and the horizontal axis as volume. Optionally these axis can be switched by the user in "settings". Also you can have a split screen mode for two independent instruments OR spit screen with pitch in one window and volume in another is so desired. If the latter sound will only come out when both fingers contact the phone.

Waveshape Selection Circle:
Toggles sine, triangle and square waveforms.

Filters:
You have three filter slots that you can customize with 15 different effects. Swap out filters in the settings mode.
• Tap a slot to toggle it on and off while in play.
• Touch and drag side to side on a slot to change the intensity of the effect. While you scrub a large number shows up in the middle of your screen to show you what its value is.

Loop:
Tap loop once and it inverts. While it is inverted it is recording.
Tap a second time and the loop is stored and a number comes up at the top of the screen 1-9.
Tap the numbers to toggle on and off loops. to clear a number drag the number to the settings gear at the bottom of the page. Loop auto snaps to the closest logical length of measure (guided by bpm and time sig settings)

BPM & time signatures can be set by scrubbing left and right. The text pulses gently to the beat and the time sig pulses to the appropriate scale.

Particle effects change under your finger depending on how long you have held a ante and how quickly your finger moves:
Tap a note/vol and a ripple happens like a drop of water.
Sustain a note and you will get many concentric rings fading from that spot.
Zip from one note to another and a line will appear to tell you were you came from. it will fade in one a couple measures.

App Idea/ Gauge of interest for a WP7 Local Sync App

I have seen a plethora complaints about the lack of USB/local sync capability with Outlook. So what I need to know before investing much more time is: Would there be any interest in a "local" Outlook sync application? It would most likely be wireless, but wired may be possible, it would be loaded on the PC just as activesync used to be, and would basically be an third party Activesync replacement. I have done enough of the basic research to say that it is technically possible, now I need to know if there is enough interest to justify taking the time to actually do the development.
