I am a complete newb programmer (if you discount that adventure game I wrote in Basic back in the eighties on my C64 lol after being inspired by Zork.)

Im waiting on;
A. A learning C# programming book from amazon (still hasnt arrived grr) &/or
B. Appmakr for WP7 beta testing approval.

What I want to create (I don't think it will be super hard) is a dedicated server Game checking app. One that allows;

- Live tile update (we have a US based hosted game server & website) with http Game server selected displaying name, number of players and map being played.

- Detailed App showing Server info, Player list, live scores and other details accessible from current gametracking websites (like stats, top scores-players etc).

What do you think ? Too ambitious ? (yes I know you can just load up much of this info in a webpage – but that can be said of heaps of apps in the marketplace).

It is a niche app idea – but one that works for any online game that uses dedicated servers....



PS the IP address for the server in the 1st pic is for the Day of Defeat Server in the US I help run from Melbourne...

Nice idea man, should be pretty easy to implement depending on the communication model used on the servers. You'll have to humour me here, not a gamer - what options would you have to pull the info from the servers?

Clock live tile

After using the Mozart for a couple of weeks, i am missing a bigger clock- however not as big as Touch flo/Manilla.....Any software developers wanna have a crack at a clock with live tile, maybe it could combine with the alarms tile???

Wolfram|Alpha

I use Wolfram|Alpha on Bings search engine all the time, helps me out in school alot. I would pay for a good app that takes full advantage of Wolfram|Alpha and everything it can do. Especially if i could just take a picture of the equation and have everything pop up instantly.
If anyone can develop this that would be great and i would definately pay for it

I switched over from android and there was an app called SMSBackup by Christopher Studer which, as you might have guessed, backed up your texts to Gmail. It was perfect and I wish there was something similar for WP7

Hi Guys I have a good idea for an APP: I need of costant view of my cameras in a videosurveiillance system. Normally i can see them through remote access by pc but i would like to see them also by my wp7. Actually there is only a free app IPCAMERA that doesn't support dvrocx library to see on web cameras by dns.
I would like to see my dvr cameras through DNS and DVROCX library. Is it possible? Think it genius.

for example i like the taskbar to always show signal bar when it's 1/5 and 0/5

or always show the E icon when connected to EDGE.

alt tab app

there are no other decent alt-tab apps avaliable so ive made a picture of one just for an idea.
hopefully someone will pick up on this and develop it for us WM geeks

the basic layout for the alt tab app i want, eg:

*swipe gestures, left or right to change to which app you want.. obviously lol, but with no animations so its faster and wont rape my ram

*swipe down to open the desired app, so it simply opens the app but again with no animations.

*swipe up to cancel and exit, maybe add an animation on exit.
