Re: [DEV][Kernel] Experimental Ace kernel for JB

You would have to make your zip file... ask the author for it :p

I will be continuing my work on the kernel. It doesn't neccessary mean governors, but who knows...

Trying your kernel on smartassH3 with Erikcas AOKP :D
Initial impressions very good.

Wanted to try the galaxyics kernel some rant on about.

Test on revoltROM v1 works great, use smartassH3, smooth, but deep sleep not working, try smartassv2 deep sleep not working too, interactive deep sleep not working too, so battery drain fast

Well, if the answer were so easy and straight, we weren't including so many different cpu freq and i/o governors...
For me, configuration with smartassv2 (with 245-844 MHz set), sio as I/O governor and FreeMem set to 50MB works really well, giving very smooth experience.

so, if i installed this kernel on my cm10.1 RC1 by bieltv.3 i would only have some different governors, right?
for all the rest i'ts everything the same..

    Linux kernel 2.6.37.

    It is a spin-off from Erik's kernel (which is a spin-off from TheWisp's etc.).
    What's different?

    [2013.04.30]
    - new UHID driver, downported from Linux 3.x. Checked against a bluetooth keyboard - and it works ok.

    [2013.03.21]
    - default CPU freq governor is Interactive
    - new CPU freq governor from Erasmux, H3ROS and C3C0, which is called SmartassH3. It is a modification of the SmartassV2 governor.

    1. It IS working, and needs tests and maybe some improvement. Note the "experimental" word. It is for those, who have a will to do this.
    2. It is in development, there will be new things in the future. If you won't start, you won't go anywhere...

When i flash this on latest nightly cyanogonmod 10.1 by androidarmv6 the rom didn' t boot.. but on rc2 it works good.. can someone confirm this? D:

Yes not working also on new nightly cm10.1 builds. I think its because of blueZ implemention in rom.

I tested - a few phone calls, sms, wi-fi and data - FB, gmail and internet, about 1 hour games and 6h deepsleep - 18h durable battery. Good result :)

sorry, for people like me who don't understand many things XD changelog means that this new version is the same of before unless thisUHID driver?
    exactly what is?

Yes, it's the previous version + this new driver.
And it's for communicating with Bluetooth HID devices (like a keyboard, for instance).
