The Beta doesn't have a bootanimation so you'll just get a black screen while booting.
Just wait 5-10 minutes(first start is a little bit longer) und it will work just fine.

There is a 2.6.1-ROM of MIUI-v4:
http://www.miui.com/thread-591992-1-1.html

I made some changes and uploaded it:
http://www.mediafire.com/?1jeigxz57tx01nl

changes I made:
- added addon.d
- Removed MiuiLock, RootExplorer and SuperMarket
- Replaced MiuiNotes with english version of miui.us
- installed new touch-bootmenu
- added translated themes from miui.us
- changed default-language to english
- disabled HWUI except for chrome and browser
- using busybox from latest CM9-build to fix adb-issues

Please note that this is based on 19.May CM9-Build where data will be activated on usb state-change.
The only problem is that "AntiSpam" is in chinese and I didn't managed to translate it(Certificate-Error).

However, for me this rom is very stable and has all the features of official v4-roms.

It is the MIUI 2.6.1 Multilanguage?

works like a charm, smooth, fast. Just once rebooted itself.
Been using for a hole day, normal battery drain so far.
I´ll keep reporting :)
Wish it had Spanish language. If you can tell me how to translate i´ll do it ;)

What keeps us from porting miui v4 to gb kernel? Do we encounter the same problems using e.g. Quarx' cm9 gb builds as base as when we use froyo CM9 base?

MIUI-Porting is a hard project because you have to work with smali-code mainly.
And if no developer does that we won't have such a rom.
