I recently purchased NavRadio+ for my T10 and it's saving my sanity. The built-in app was sooo bad. Thanks for making this replacement.

  1. The http://navimods.tk/ site just takes me to a blank page. Where is the best place to find out more about the app?
  2. Is there a manual or anything? I've seen a "Tips and Guides" post with useful information (double-taps, long presses, AF, etc.). It would be nice if there was a single reference location.
  3. The logo file for my state (Wisconsin, US) is missing a lot of stations and has outdated logos for others. Is there a way to submit updates to you?
  4. Is there a way to force the automated logo search and station naming for a station after it's been added? (I added a station and canceled the automatic update accidentally. I can set the logo manually but it would be nice if it filled in the station name and other things too.)

1. Here is the best place to get informations and help.
I haven't updated my domain and the site since a few years already 😔
The app takes all my free time and it's really hard to do everything by my self.
2. Yeah, i should make a manual/guide sooner or later and i swear i will 😉
3. Probably some of the missing logos are in the packages of the nearby states. You can download more then 1 package and extract them all. NavRadio will look in all folders for the logos.
If you want to send me logos I'll be glad to add them, just send me them by email to kotixworld at gmail.com
4. Everytime you select a preset station start a search for the logo but it cannot be done by name like in europe because in the USA many stations send the "RDS text" in the "RDS name" field making it unreliable.
So, the logo search is made by frequency. Every logo is named with this criteria: Freqnumber_CallSign_StationName_SID.png
(SID can be used only by MTC units)
Once the logo is assigned, the station name is copied from the logo name and set.

In this days I'm working with another US guy to improve the RDS text string and other things that need to be corrected like the frequency steps by 0.20MHz.
If you have more suggestions, this is the right time ;)

Muchas gracias:)
te amo :) saludos
hola podriasHello could you explain how to do it? By installing the apk you remove the source radio or do you have to do something else? Thank you

Not sure if this is caused by this app, but I get a message that gps is disabled when starting the head unit and the app almost every cold boot. I checked several times that gps is enabled. I have the gps option of the app to show the speed in navradio+.

My head unit is PX30 from xtrons

Disable the speedometer and check if that message show up again.
If it stops then it's caused by NavRadio.
Which android version are you running?

I disabled the speedometer and no meesage was shown during the next 4-5 boots. Then, I enabled it again and the message appeared again. So, I really believe that the message is caused by NavRadio+

My PX30 device runs Android 10 Hal9k v5.2.0

Did you set gps location permissions to NavRadio app when you have installed it?
Please Check all permissions you set for NavRadio..

Yes, I doubled checked that the app has gps permissions. In fact, speedometer works well.

Anyway, the message I'm complaning about is not asking for gps permissions like the first time you launch the app when installed, the message I get is warning about having gps disabled. The options that the message offers me are "cancel" or "go to gps settings" (where I can see that gps is already enabled). Even if I choose cancel, the speedometer works well once gps has obtained the location.

It's kind of annoying...but when speedometer is disabled, the message dissapears

Ok, to be able.to reproduce the problem, please tell me the exact sequence of things you do to make the message appear.
Which launcher are you using?

I do nothing. I mean, start the car and when head unit boots, navradio is executed automatically and the message just appears on top of navradio...

About the launcher, I do not know exactly but I have Hal9k mod v5.2.0 and did not change anything related to the launcher so I assume it is the default one

Please try the new version 2.75, the gps message should be fixed now.

Good Morning @KoTiX2 , and thanks for your work and time!

on my TS10.2.2 unit i´m loosing Steering wheel support (switching channels, volume is working) as soon as the original radio app isn´t running in the background or is turned off in factory settings.
if i start the original radio app, and than switch to NavRadio, the steering wheel buttons work.

any chance that this is fixable?
Hi, you should go to settings/keys and set the correct values for the prev/next buttons.
If your unit use canbus you probably need to set to "0" those values.
If it doesn't use canbus you need to enable the "show keys number" and set the value it show when you press the button.
    1
will try that, i use canbus so i will look into that settings. on my old px5 it was working without problems.
too bad that on these TS10 units the settings menu is so cluttered...

    Thank You!
    1
Ah, ok, now that makes more sense :) btw. On 2.79 the settings Menu was broken, now on 2.80 I can see the key section, the values are set to 0 and steering wheel buttons aren't working. Will try a fresh install tomorrow. Post #900 had the same car as me and also problems with the steering wheel...
Probably in the saved settings there are still the old values. You should try to change it to something else and then to 0.
If it still don't work, erase data and cache or reinstall it.
    1
No. I haven't even started coding it.
    My priorities right now are:
    1. Fix GPS settings dialogs that show up to some users incorrectly.
    2. Make the Vivid version with mediabrowser service the official definitive version.
    3. Release NavRadio+ on Huawei appgallery for those countries where Google PlayStore is not available (Russia, China, etc..)
    4. Any other bugs that will show up while working on first 3 points..

After these steps are achieved i can start adding new features like the carousel.

Thank you for your hard work.
Keep in mind, then, after scanning frequencies on the UIS7862 FYT device, the "frequency scan" warning remains on the screen, but when the program is closed and opened, the warning goes away.

[Dev] New "NavRadio+" app for TopWay based units: T3 and T8Allwinner, TS9 (intel), TS10(UIS7862) and TS18(UIS8151)

I have been working since July 2019 on this radio FM application originally created by Omega2008 from 4pda adding. With his permission of course, I started adding many features and customizations and now it support multiple brands of devices.
Generally it support head units based on TopWay firmware with cpu allwinner T3 and T8, TS9(Intel SC9853) , TS10 ( UIS7862), TS18(UIS8151) , the entire family of MTC/HCT based devices PX3, PX5, PX6, PX30 and S32F0 units, and FYT devices.

A FREE VERSION FOR XDA USERS IS AVAILABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THE XDA RULES AND TO LET USERS TEST THE COMPATIBILITY BEFORE BUYING IT.
    YOU CAN FIND IT HERE:
    V2.80 DROPBOX LINK
    or
    V2.80 GDRIVE LINK
IT DIFFER FROM PAYED VERSION JUST IN TERMS OF USER CUSTOMIZATIONS OPTIONS AND NO LOGOS SUPPORT.

If you are sure that your unit is compatible with the app you can get it on the Google PlayStore, here:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.navimods.radio
or on the Huawei Appgallery at this link:

    ---------------------------------- SOME TIPS ---------------------------------------------
    TOGGLE SCREEN NORMAL/FULL:
    - Double Click on the station information toggle fullscreen on/off.

    NORMAL SCREEN:
    - Long press on the station information popup the "ADD Station" dialog window if the station is not in your station list. If it's already in your list, it will focus the relative station button.
    - Long press on a station button bring up the "EDIT Station" dialog window
    - Single press on screen arrows <> does a small frequency step fwd/back
    - Long Press on screen arrows does a quick search fwd/back

    FULLSCREEN MODE:
    - A Single press of the arrows <> switch to next/previous station
-A Long press on station information(center of the screen) bring up the "EDIT Station" dialog window.
    - In interface settings you can remove the big frequency in background if a logo is available.
    - In settings you can hide status bar, activate the clock and a speed gauge

    STEERING WHEELS CONTROLS:
    - The steering wheels commands act exactly in the same way as the fullscreen arrows, they just need to be setup in the correct way in carsettings application.

    FAVORITE LIST:
    - The FAV list is the result of merging FM and AM favorites, so you can have both frequencies in the same list.
    - FAV stations can be edited within the fav list but cannot be added. You need to be on fm or am list to add a station and set it to favs.
    - Deleting the FAV list will just remove the fav flag from the fm/am stations but will not delete them.
    - Deleting AM/FM list it will delete the FAV list too.

    LOGOS:
    - you can use your own station logos, you just need to know where you have them stored and browse for them when editing a station.
    - To get the stations Logos from the app you have to set the nationality of the logos in the interface menu, download and extract them.
Once they are extracted you have to edit each saved station to assign the logo image to it.
    - The automatic assignment of the Logos is based on the RDS id of the radio stations (pi code) and the search of the logo by RDS name.
The first method (by id) is faster and more precise but it needs that the name of the logo contain the picode of the station and for this purpose i renamed them for some of the available countries. Of course i cannot make them all and the functionality of this method depend of the availability of correctly named logo images for your country.
The second method (by name) is less accurate and it work comparing the RDS name with all available logos. If the rsult of the comparison is 100% correct the logo is autoamatically assigned. If the result are more then one logo, a dialog window popup asking you to choose it.
For USA and Canada the assignment of the logo is is done by searching the frequency of the station in the logo file name.

AF (Alternative Frequencies) handling: (Doubleclick to switch between stored AF)
AF service allows the radio tuner to tune in to an alternative frequency when the signal becomes too weak. The minimum level signal can be set in factory settings (Auto Search Stop) and has been found
that around 30 db is the best choice.
To improve even more this service I added an automatic storing of the alternative frequencies so that every time a new frequency is received, it's added in a list.
After an autoscan some radio stations can be found on different frequencies, NavRadio+ have an option (in Settings/radio) to automatically merge the frequencies in just one button populating the AF list
The frequencies available in this list can be selected using the station editor or switched one by one DOUBLECLICKING on the station button.

    NOTES:
I'm the only developer of the app and I work on it every single day for some hours a day.
I try my best to develope the app at best of my possibilities and I wish at evey release that it is bug and crash free.
This is very hard to achieve, even if I have some very good friends that help me testing it.
I'm really thankful to them for their help and support.

Thank everybody who beleive in my work and thanks for understanding. :)
    7
@KoTiX2 you have an excellent product for the Topway based platform, do not explode your mind trying to port the app to FYT (I'm talking against my own ideas as I have FYT units) keep doit the great job that you do with NavRadio and making happy your customers.

Anyway many thanks for all the time you spent tryng to find a suitable way to port the app
I have a little good news:
Finally I'm now able to set frequency and receive rds infos from my fyt unit and show them in NavRadio+ :D
I found also a small trick to avoid having all native libs included in the app.
There is still a lot of job to do but I'm pretty happy that something is finally moving in this unit. :D
    4
hello, do you have any news?
The only news is that I now have an 8227L unit and a px5 s32f0 one.
I'm working on it but it's not an easy job
    3
Is it possible to build support in for the FYT Intel Airmont SC9853i units eventually?
Maybe in a future, right now only TopWay based units with sc9853i are supported.
I will make a poll of which unit to support next as I need to buy one of these units to start developing sw for it.
    3
Yes 130Mb is no problem. If you have a version that you think works for fyt 7862 I'm willing to pay for a beta version.
I cannot release a 130mb app on PlayStore.
The alternative would be make my app a system app (probably replacing the original one) but then I would have no protection against free sharing it.
I'll see how can handle all this... for sure I'd like to have a new unit on my car too and i really like these fyt uis7862 units so I'm kind of pushed on finding a solution.
