Hi, please post some pictures to better understand points 1 and 2.
Which countries do you see in the list? I added almost all the 50+ US states. Probably you haven't set the correct radio region in NavRadio or i could make some mistake...
Screenshots attached. I think #2 was a glitch since I can't get it to do again, so disregard that one. (I must have set the color to black or something?)
I have region as USA1 (screenshot) and logo menu looks like China region.

Thx for the pics.
1. Now it's clear that I'm missing the 2000*1200 dim values.
Please go in settings->aboutNavradio and double click on the NR icon it will show some details. Take a pic and send me it.

I'll fix this and region in next release coming out during weekend

Hi,
Region scan is now working, but for stations with multiple logos, selection menu crashes the app. (select a logo, hit ok, crashes)
I installed total commander but that didn't help. I sent a feedback from the app, not sure what all gets sent there.
The DPI now shows 176 instead of 160, but the text display in settings is unchanged, same as previous, so not sure what's wrong there.
App is still miles better than stock.
Thanks for all your work!

Sorry but why DPI show 176??
Have you changed DPI settings with a DPI changer app?

Did you have downloaded and extracted logos?
Can you send me video of the crash please?
Feedbacks from playstore never came in from anybody.
Don't know why..

I can't change the DPI. I'm not rooted, and going in dev options to adjust it just reverts back to original value.
I fixed the logo issue by manually selecting logo in the station editor and Total Commander. It was crashing on the auto-select but only for one particular file. All other auto-select options worked fine. That is, one file for one station would crash on auto-select. Other files for the same station worked ok and multiple files for other stations worked ok.
File in question is: 95.10_Kiss.png. It's all good now, so not a big deal. I can send video if you still need it, but it's not something to worry about as it is very small incident case.

Now if someone can figure out how to disable original radio. :D

Ok. Now I'm curious why it show 176 DPI.
Can you please check with another app the resolution and DPI, please?

Very odd. I ran atutu on it and results as shown. Not sure why it reports 5.3" display since the display is actually 10.1". I don't see any way to change that.

Yes, on all fyt units right now it's working in this way.
I'll release a tool to disable the original radio app flashing a command with an USB disk.
please be patience a little more...

Hi guys!

I created a small script to remove and restore the original Radio app.
WILL COMWE SOON

TO REMOVE:
All you have to do is to extract the zip file on the root of a FAT32 USB disk so you have:
a folder "lsec_updatesh"
and a file "lsec6315update"

With unit powered up and android running, insert the USB and when prompted press "START".
This will reboot the unit and run some shell commands to rename the original radio app from "190000008_com.syu.radio.apk" into "190000008_com.syu.radio.bak" so it will not be found by android.
You will see some linux commands and some text in CAPITAL letters scrolling..., at the end you'll see a green text "update success!Pls remove device". Do it and the unit will reboot to android with radio disabled.
The script will also create on USB a folder "BACKUP_RADIO_APK" that contain a copy of the original radio app.

TO RESTORE:
To restore to original state, simply insert again the USB disk with same files and folders that you extracted before and with the "BACKUP_RADIO_APK" folder with original file in it.
This time you'll see some red text during scrolling text phase, don't worry about it work in this way.

TO REMOVE ONCE AGAIN:
delete from USB disk the folder "BACKUP_RADIO_APK" and all can start over

ATTENTION: before to delete the "BACKUP_RADIO_APK" or the file in it, be sure you have the original radio app working correctly on your unit

Tomorrow i'll probably make other scripts to "Remove only" and "Restore only" the app that will help people to avoid mistakes.

Let's see what you guys think ;)

EDIT: Nevermind I'll make new independent scripts to remove and to restore the radio app.

Just installed navradio on my teyes cc3. All working on first run. Impressive. I must digg in some settings because parts from interface look s cheap (no offence, i know you worked alot ). But i see there are alot of customisation settings. Keep up with this good work.

This will reboot the unit and run some shell commands to rename the original radio app from "190000008_com.syu.radio.apk" into "190000008_com.syu.radio.bak" so it will not be found by android.
@KoTiX2 I currently don't have access to dropbox as my company does not allow it, so I can't download/see your script.
Note though that not all radio apks are called "190000008_com.syu.radio.apk". The Joying is called "190043001_com.syu.radio.apk".
Please make double (re)move entries in your script for both cases. On most units the 008 will be (re)moved and you get an error on (re)moving the 43001. On Joyings you get an error on (re)moving the 008 in case of duplicated script entries.

Another option is to try an "if file exists" in your bash script (don't have access to a firmware or unit at this moment, so from the top of my head).
Bash:
if [ -f "/oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk" ];
then
    # I am guessing that you do something like below
    mkdir -p /storage/sdcard1/BACKUP_RADIO_APK
    cp /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk /storage/sdcard1/BACKUP_RADIO_APK
    rm -rf /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio
    rm -rf /data/dalvik-cache/profiles/com.syu.radio
else
    "do joying stuff"

If-then-else cannot be used because the commands in lsech6315 are very basic.
Are you sure that joying even on 7862 CPU is using the same naming for the APK?

As i said I'll make 2 different tools to remove and restore and I'll add all the different plarforms.
Possibly I'll include the tool in the app too.. we'll see how it goes..

P.S. thx to MarioDantas for all the infos about the shell scripts ;)

Absolutely.
Same for music, BT, video and a few other apks. Also because they are slightly different, although they are all 100% compatible. The Joying music player for example has more functionality than all the other FYT music players.
Just unpack the AllAppUpdate.bin for Joying and you will see.

And you are right about the if-then-else not being possible.
My own scripts also contain double entries (how could I have forgotten )

OK let's say that the code to disable the Radio app is this "RADIO REMOVER":
Bash:
mkdir -p /storage/sdcard1/BACKUP_RADIO_APK/
cp -rf /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk /storage/sdcard1/BACKUP_RADIO_APK/
cp -rf /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio/190043001_com.syu.radio.apk /storage/sdcard1/BACKUP_RADIO_APK/
mv /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.bak
mv /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio/190043001_com.syu.radio.apk /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio/190043001_com.syu.radio.bak

and the code to restore the radio is this "RADIO RESTORER":
Bash:
mv /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.bak /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk
mv /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio/190043001_com.syu.radio.bak /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio/190043001_com.syu.radio.apk
cp -rf /storage/sdcard1/BACKUP_RADIO_APK/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk
cp -rf /storage/sdcard1/BACKUP_RADIO_APK/190043001_com.syu.radio.apk /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio/190043001_com.syu.radio.apk
chmod 0755 /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio
chown -R 0.0 /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk
chmod 0644 /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk

the copy after move is in case somebody would like to replace the original apk with another one.

What do you think?

That should do it, but the last 3 lines should also be doubled.
Code:
chmod 0755 /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio
chown -R 0.0 /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio/190043001_com.syu.radio.apk
chmod 0644 /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio/190043001_com.syu.radio.apk

I do not understand the "chown -R 0.0 /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio/190000008_com.syu.radio.apk".
The chown -R 0:0 is to make root as owner:group recursively to a folder including contents.
Do you actually mean "chown -R 0.0 /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio" ?

Which would then lead to:
Code:
chown -R 0.0 /oem/app/190000008_com.syu.radio
chown -R 0.0 /oem/app/190043001_com.syu.radio

I know this is a crazy ask. Since you managed to make a script to remove the original radio app. Would it be possible to make something similar to the apk responsible for handling the AF? And make a modified version worth corrected AF?

Where can I find it? I could find only this info,
This is an sf0 unit and you need root to make NavRadio work better on it.
i suggest you to flash Malaysk rom if exist for your model because it already contain root.
Once you have root access you can use a special function in NavRadio to patch the service APK to make NavRadio the default radio app.
Unfortunately this is the only way to do it. Your model is too much handled by MCU and less from software unlike others models.

I have finally managed to install it. I have paid for the app. It works very well

    Good function.

I am going to make a very complicated suggestion, because I like the application a lot. I listen to radio by streaming, would it be possible in future updates to install it?

Thanks, I really like your work😉

    Hi @KoTiX2,

    What a wonderful radio app!!!!

I tried it with my Junsun Tesla-Style (vertical) head unit which is a TS10 uis7862 based device.
It works way better than the stock radio app.
Is it possible to remove the stock radio app like you do with the FYT devices? I tried to use yor Remove/Restore script but it does nothing.

Thanks and keep up the good work
You can disable the original app in factory settings of your unit. ;)

    Hi all,
I finally ported my NavRadio+ app to FYT based devices with CPU UIS7862, sc9853i and sc9863a!!

It surely don't work on Sofia and older FYT devices.
I own an Isudar V72 unit with CPU UIS7862 with MCU NOR FYT=1 but it's been confirmed to work on other FYT types too (31, 51 etc..)

    SOME TIPS AND GUIDES

    - REMOVE ORIGINAL RADIO APP -
There are some issues due to original radio app coexistance. To avoid these issues the best option is to remove the original radio app from the system using the FYT_Radio_REMOVER/RESTORER tool availabe here:

Extract the zip file on the root of a FAT32 USB disk so you have:
    a folder "BACKUP_RADIO_APK"
    a folder "lsec_updatesh"
    a file "lsec6315update"
    a file "lsec6316update"
    a file "lsec6521update"

With unit powered up and android running, insert the USB and when prompted press "START".
This will reboot the unit and run some shell commands to rename the original radio app from "******_com.syu.radio.apk" into "*******_com.syu.radio.bak" so it will not be found by android.
You will see some linux commands scrolling and at the end you'll see a green text "update success!Pls remove device". Do it and the unit will reboot to android with radio disabled.
The script will also make copy of the original radio app on the USB in the folder "BACKUP_RADIO_APK" in case you need it in the future.

    TO RESTORE THE ORIGINAL APP
Simply insert again the USB with same files in it and let the process run again.

Essentially everytime the USB stick is inserted, it remove the original app renaming it with .bak extension or if the .bak file exist it restore it back with .apk extension.
You can use it as many times you want.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    TOGGLE SCREEN NORMAL/FULL:
    - Double Click on the station information toggle fullscreen on/off.

    NORMAL SCREEN:
    - Long press on the station information popup the "ADD Station" dialog window if the station is not in your station list. If it's already in your list, it will focus the relative station button.
    - Long press on a station button bring up the "EDIT Station" dialog window
    - Single press on screen arrows <> does a small frequency step fwd/back
    - Long Press on screen arrows does a quick search fwd/back

    FULLSCREEN MODE:
    - A Single press of the arrows <> switch to next/previous station
-A Long press on station information(center of the screen) bring up the "EDIT Station" dialog window.
    - In interface settings you can remove the big frequency in background if a logo is available.
    - In settings you can hide status bar, activate the clock and a speed gauge

    STEERING WHEELS CONTROLS:
    - The steering wheels commands act exactly in the same way as the fullscreen arrows, they just need to be setup in the correct way in carsettings application.

    FAVORITE LIST:
    - The FAV list is the result of merging FM and AM favorites, so you can have both frequencies in the same list.
    - FAV stations can be edited within the fav list but cannot be added. You need to be on fm or am list to add a station and set it to favs.
    - Deleting the FAV list will just remove the fav flag from the fm/am stations but will not delete them.
    - Deleting AM/FM list it will delete the FAV list too.

    LOGOS:
    - you can use your own station logos, you just need to know where you have them stored and browse for them when editing a station.
    - To get the stations Logos from the app you have to set the nationality of the logos in the interface menu, download and extract them.
Once they are extracted you have to edit each saved station to assign the logo image to it.
    - The automatic assignment of the Logos is based on the RDS id of the radio stations (pi code) and the search of the logo by RDS name.
The first method (by id) is faster and more precise but it needs that the name of the logo contain the picode of the station and for this purpose i renamed them for some of the available countries. Of course i cannot make them all and the functionality of this method depend of the availability of correctly named logo images for your country.
The second method (by name) is less accurate and it work comparing the RDS name with all available logos. If the rsult of the comparison is 100% correct the logo is autoamatically assigned. If the result are more then one logo, a dialog window popup asking you to choose it.
For USA and Canada the assignment of the logo is is done by searching the frequency of the station in the logo file name.

AF (Alternative Frequencies) handling: (Doubleclick to switch between stored AF)
AF service allows the radio tuner to tune in to an alternative frequency when the signal becomes too weak. The minimum level signal can be set in factory settings (Auto Search Stop) and has been found
that around 30 db is the best choice.
To improve even more this service I added an automatic storing of the alternative frequencies so that every time a new frequency is received, it's added in a list.
After an autoscan some radio stations can be found on different frequencies, NavRadio+ have an option (in Settings/radio) to automatically merge the frequencies in just one button populating the AF list
The frequencies available in this list can be selected using the station editor or switched one by one DOUBLECLICKING on the station button.

    NOTES:
I'm the only developer of the app and I work on it every single day for some hours a day.
I try my best to develope the app at best of my possibilities and I wish at evey release that it is bug and crash free.
This is very hard to achieve, even if I have some very good friends that help me testing it.
I'm really thankful to them for their help and support.

Thank everybody who beleive in my work and thanks for understanding. :)

Hi, unfortunately for me the app conflicts with the original app of the radio. When I switch on the car, the original app starts by default, then if I finish the original one and start navradio it works. All this on radio isudar qled 6 g of ram 128 of rom.
Yes, on all fyt units right now it's working in this way.
I'll release a tool to disable the original radio app flashing a command with an USB disk.
please be patience a little more...
