Thanks to the developer for this application.

I downloaded the app from xda and it works fine.

To encourage the developer I bought the paid version on Google store.

I installed it on a ts10 android 13.9" ❤
I hope that when I update the car radio I don't lose the activation of navradio+

You bought it on PlayStore so the purchase is connected to your Google account. You won't loose it.
Just use the same account on the new unit when you'll buy it.

Hi. Does not work on FYT firmware on UIS7862 with tuner TDA7786 (Joying) - it scans stations for a long time, after scanning in the list of stations all frequencies are 88.5, 88.6, 88.7 and so on ... I tuned it manually. Not all logos are placed and sometimes they are incorrect.

On FYT device you can adjust the sensibility of radio reception in NavRadio settings/radio.
You can also try to switch LOC "on" that add 20db to the frequency filter.
The logo assignment on FYT device is done only matching the RDS station name and that depend also on reception quality.
From which country are you?

The basic version in the playstore: does it have any difference from the free version posted here? Because I was just trying the one I installed through XDA and I already find it an improved, over the one Xi Jinping has put on the unit. So I consider replacing the original by Navradio Basic.

PlayStore and XDA have the same basic version.

This so much better than the original radio app: my working around for a non functioning AF on these headunits, would be to just store multiple frequencies of the same radio station.

2023-03-02-14-23-52-364.jpg

When I tried to use the Radio quick button, builtin within the Launcher I was using: it asks me to pick an app to use with it, but afterwards my Launcher was reset to the standard one again.

Not sure how to deal with this, but will look into it later. I removed the old radio app.

hello,
a KERNEL for the FYT 7862 is currently being developed by mariodantas, and it made me a doubt that maybe it would be better for KoTiX2 to respond, would mariodantas be able to solve the big problem of this unit which is the AF?

So NavRadio+ basically breaks the integration of the FM Radio, within the FYT Launchers. When you try to use these shortcuts or widgets: it will result on resetting the car launcher to default.

Other than that all is good, but many car Launchers have a shortcut to the FM radio and unlike the navigation button. You cant set those up for another app, than the built-in FM radio app.

Mario is a friend and I'm in contact with him. I know he made the custom kernel but i don't think he can fix the AF.
AF is handled by native libraries and MCU. It's not part of the kernel...

All the Chinese manufacturers have built their launchers with shortcuts to default radio, music and bluetooth apps. The only app that is selectable by the user is the navigation app.
I don't see why you say that using these shortcuts reset the launcher to its default. Can you explain?
Anyway on FYT units you can use the phisical radio button to start NavRadio.

Because that's exactly what happens, once you have removed the original radio app. It first asked me which app I wanted to open this action, so I selected NavRadio+ and then instead of NavRadio+ opening.

The Car Launcher reset to the default one, which is the one above: same happens when trying to use the FM widget. My unit don't have any physical buttons, so I need to use the ones on the touchscreen.

Default launcher obviously doesn't contain any FM shortcut, or widgets: but the one I prefer to use, does have them. And although I hardly use the FM radio. I think it's nice if the built-in shortcuts where working.

Just for reference, because I don't have a screenshot of the car launcher I'm using now: but the Radio button, will not work anymore after removing the default radio. Although the music widget on these Launchers are also pretty useless, when you use Spotify.

screenshot (1).png

This launcher I use, and on the left side there is bar with in the middle a FM Radio icon. Once you remove the built-in FM radio, then these buttons are crippled and using them will cause the Launcher to crash and reset to the default one.

And if you don't remove the built-in FM app, then it will conflict with NavRadio+ so that's no option.

As i said the problem are the default launchers that on all Chinese units have hard coded the main page icons to their system apps.
My suggestion is to download a launcher from PlayStore like CarLauncher, Agama, Vivid, FCC, carWebGuru, etc... There are many with many skins.
I would definitely avoid to use the default one.

I am using the default sensitivity settings.
Yes I did enable "cocatenate text" for RDS. It has always worked well for me.

I did try to disable it and it seemed to help the random crashes a little bit but it still crashed when changing stations.

I am in the Michigan, USA using USA1 region.
Ok it seem to happen only to US people then...
I'll try to reproduce the problem and fix it as soon as I can.
    Sorry about it guys ;)

Yes I am also having crashing issues, that only started with the latest update of the app. It will crash randomly sometimes, but also more often it seems to crash when changing stations. I have tried uninstall/reinstall with saved settings and also without saved settings. I never had any crash issues before this last update.

    I have a Joying JY-UQ135N4G-DA (UIS7862 12nm Dual ARM Cortex-A75 + Six ARM A55) 4G/64G.
I'm still having the crashes, and it's always when changing stations. It seems to work fine if I open the app and don't touch anything. But click on anything, and it instantly crashes. I also tried uninstall/reinstall and that doesn't change the crashing.

The changes of the latest versions are related to the sensitivity settings, in particular for joying units and RDS text concatenate option.
Are you using default sensitivity settings or manual adjustement?
Have you enabled the "concatenate text" options ?
Where are you from? which logo region are you using?

Just for more info on mine, I'm using default sensitivity (no changes), concatenate text can be turned on or off and it still crashes. I'm from Southern California, USA (USA1) and I'm not using logos at the moment.

KoTiX2 i whant to ask you whant to make a video player ?
Excuse me but what for? There are many many video players in the market and it would be better that @KoTiX2 would focus on radio app, which is rather niche app.

I never released a full version that act as mediaplayer because that version cause problems with FCC launcher and is still unstable.
Right now, after ViVid stopped development for non US countries and because of issue with FCC( the developer of FCC is also disappeared from the scene), the development of such a version is temporarily stopped.
I'm concentrated now on porting NavRadio to QF01 kind of devices
    All right. No problem.
I would be grateful if you could consider supporting the full version at a later date.
    1
Ou :D No, I was not modified anything. The stations list was created in NavRadio+ then imported to the Basic version (the attached apk). So it looks like some kind of issue ;)

I am on Europe region. I am from Poland.
Oh ok that's explain it :)
In the next days 'll send you guys some free versions to test before release the full version.
    Thx for your help ;)

    SOME TIPS AND GUIDES

    - REMOVE ORIGINAL RADIO APP -
There are some issues due to original radio app coexistance. To avoid these issues the best option is to remove the original radio app from the system using the FYT_Radio_REMOVER/RESTORER tool availabe here:

Extract the zip file on the root of a FAT32 USB disk so you have:
    a folder "BACKUP_RADIO_APK"
    a folder "lsec_updatesh"
    a file "lsec6315update"
    a file "lsec6316update"
    a file "lsec6521update"

With unit powered up and android running, insert the USB and when prompted press "START".
This will reboot the unit and run some shell commands to rename the original radio app from "******_com.syu.radio.apk" into "*******_com.syu.radio.bak" so it will not be found by android.
You will see some linux commands scrolling and at the end you'll see a green text "update success!Pls remove device". Do it and the unit will reboot to android with radio disabled.
The script will also make copy of the original radio app on the USB in the folder "BACKUP_RADIO_APK" in case you need it in the future.

    TO RESTORE THE ORIGINAL APP
Simply insert again the USB with same files in it and let the process run again.

Essentially everytime the USB stick is inserted, it remove the original app renaming it with .bak extension or if the .bak file exist it restore it back with .apk extension.
You can use it as many times you want.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    TOGGLE SCREEN NORMAL/FULL:
    - Double Click on the station information toggle fullscreen on/off.

    NORMAL SCREEN:
    - Long press on the station information popup the "ADD Station" dialog window if the station is not in your station list. If it's already in your list, it will focus the relative station button.
    - Long press on a station button bring up the "EDIT Station" dialog window
    - Single press on screen arrows <> does a small frequency step fwd/back
    - Long Press on screen arrows does a quick search fwd/back

    FULLSCREEN MODE:
    - A Single press of the arrows <> switch to next/previous station
-A Long press on station information(center of the screen) bring up the "EDIT Station" dialog window.
    - In interface settings you can remove the big frequency in background if a logo is available.
    - In settings you can hide status bar, activate the clock and a speed gauge

    STEERING WHEELS CONTROLS:
    - The steering wheels commands act exactly in the same way as the fullscreen arrows, they just need to be setup in the correct way in carsettings application.

    FAVORITE LIST:
    - The FAV list is the result of merging FM and AM favorites, so you can have both frequencies in the same list.
    - FAV stations can be edited within the fav list but cannot be added. You need to be on fm or am list to add a station and set it to favs.
    - Deleting the FAV list will just remove the fav flag from the fm/am stations but will not delete them.
    - Deleting AM/FM list it will delete the FAV list too.

    LOGOS:
    - you can use your own station logos, you just need to know where you have them stored and browse for them when editing a station.
    - To get the stations Logos from the app you have to set the nationality of the logos in the interface menu, download and extract them.
Once they are extracted you have to edit each saved station to assign the logo image to it.
    - The automatic assignment of the Logos is based on the RDS id of the radio stations (pi code) and the search of the logo by RDS name.
The first method (by id) is faster and more precise but it needs that the name of the logo contain the picode of the station and for this purpose i renamed them for some of the available countries. Of course i cannot make them all and the functionality of this method depend of the availability of correctly named logo images for your country.
The second method (by name) is less accurate and it work comparing the RDS name with all available logos. If the rsult of the comparison is 100% correct the logo is autoamatically assigned. If the result are more then one logo, a dialog window popup asking you to choose it.
For USA and Canada the assignment of the logo is is done by searching the frequency of the station in the logo file name.

AF (Alternative Frequencies) handling: (Doubleclick to switch between stored AF)
AF service allows the radio tuner to tune in to an alternative frequency when the signal becomes too weak. The minimum level signal can be set in factory settings (Auto Search Stop) and has been found
that around 30 db is the best choice.
To improve even more this service I added an automatic storing of the alternative frequencies so that every time a new frequency is received, it's added in a list.
After an autoscan some radio stations can be found on different frequencies, NavRadio+ have an option (in Settings/radio) to automatically merge the frequencies in just one button populating the AF list
The frequencies available in this list can be selected using the station editor or switched one by one DOUBLECLICKING on the station button.

    NOTES:
I'm the only developer of the app and I work on it every single day for some hours a day.
I try my best to develope the app at best of my possibilities and I wish at evey release that it is bug and crash free.
This is very hard to achieve, even if I have some very good friends that help me testing it.
I'm really thankful to them for their help and support.

Thank everybody who beleive in my work and thanks for understanding. :)

I want to share some news about NavRadio+ that missed to write beacuse of lack of free time.

The first news is about the official latest version on Google PlayStore (2.84) where the main change is the addition of a Carousel Introduction guide that show up only at first run after installation and help the new users to set permissions, choose the radio region and explain a bit the first steps through the app.
More than 2 months ago i uploaded NavRadio+ on Huawei Appgallery so that Russian people and all others from countries where the PlayStore is not available, could buy the app.

In the last 3 weeks NavRadio has been rejected by Huawei Appgallery and the full version is not available anymore.
I'm working hard to make it acceptable by the Appgallery rules and I already contacted the Devs support hoping to come to a solution soon.

The last news is specially directed to all my betatesters.
I uploaded a version named 2.85_Vivid that makes NavRadio act as a mediaplayer so it can work with Vivid and all other launchers using all the mediaplayer controls and mediasession.
In this particular version I fixed the compatibility with FCC launcher that had problems.
To use this version with Vivid launcher, it's mandatory to use a special version of Vivid too:
    Launcher-5.10.3466.apk

I encourage everybody to test this build as much as they can with any launcher and report me any sort of bug.
I'd like to make this version the new default one so I need it to be tested well.

If a paid user would like to become a betatester to get access to this build, please send me by email the proof of you purchase and your gmail.

Thx everybody who'd like to help
    😉
