Yes, I already wrote a script for it. Soon to be released.
The extra functionality of the Joying player is that it is also a "folder based" media player. I don't use playlists (these Android units with removable storage are simply not "cache storage safe" enough). I have my collections in folders, for me that is enough. I modded the player a little to have a better layout in split-screen mode (well, I think it is better) and also made a "dark mode" version of the player (not switchable) because in evenings I find the screen way too bright. I tested and modded the uis7862 player and it works just as fine on my current sc9853i.
I find stock apps on Navifly Yin 53 more then terrible. When I find out that Navi radio will be ported to Fyt units I was thrilled to finally get decent radio app for my unit, now just to replace music player and most disappointing things will be addressed :)

This is the radio thread and this is off topic. You might be disappointed. The Joying music app is still for 95% equal to your NaviFly music player

@KoTiX2 I tried the remover script on my ATOTO S8 and it did not work. I did some digging around in .apks with Solid Explorer and the radio app from ATOTO has a different code.
No, renaming does nothing in android because apps are identified by their internal package name not the file name.
Infact all the different names of the radio app like yours 190000009_2000_com.syu.radio
Or 190000008_com.syu.radio or the one from joying are essentially the same app made with package "com.syu.radio".
FYT use different names for the different customers but the app is almost the same except some graphics and some code.

We should collect all the different names that we can find so I can add them to the script...
The code for the Atoto S8 is 190112001_com.syu.radio.apk.
Maybe that's why the script failed. Not sure if you might update it. I won't be able to re-test nor adapt it to my needs since I won't have access to my car for a couple of months (moving to another country).

Indeed i need to update the script with your code.
We need to collect all the different codes for all fyt customers to make the script universal.
Another option is to use my app to recognize the code in the unit, create a custom script in runtime and put it on USB.
I like a lot this second option but it takes me some time to be done...

I guess a regex expression wouldn't work then?

And you are right about the if-then-else not being possible.
My own scripts also contain double entries (how could I have forgotten )
@KoTiX2 :
Well, I just remembered a number of rooting scripts that I wrote 1½ - 3 years ago.
The used shell on boot is a very sparse POSIX style shell.
You can even switch to busybox ash shell during the script execution for almost complete shell functionality, but I forgot the details. That is for some time later.

Anyway, please find attached a very simple script to remove 4 radio apks for several units. Also as "Universal" script for uis7862/uis8581 and sc9853i (even though your app does not work (yet?) on the sc9853i).
the *lsec scripts copy another script to /cache and run it form there. It is not very beuatiful but saves your from very lengthy red error messages in the script.

The "unknown" is the unit from user @j-5 who did not answer yet which brand unit he has.
@j-5 : Please answer that question. It helps everyone.

Was already answered.

I did both, assuming the unit was similar to the others, but since I don't have canbus, I guess I'm ok? Script ran and worked a treat! thanks so much for the hard work.

There was mention earlier on renaming the navradio+ to the same name as the oem radio apk, is that an option also?

my unit: MCU PSTAR_53_L6315_G23P4864_V:1.0
:D
As far as brand goes, the seller says it's "Nevegetor" but who knows really. The about screen on NAvRadio says it's "SPRD"

Sorry, you are right (corrected the previous post), but you then only mentioned the MCU, which can be used on multiple units (but is definitely not general compatible. beware!).
And SPRD is already there since the first units from "Syu PRoDuction". SYU is an android app/firmware builder that was acquired by FYT in 2015 or 2016 or so. But you still find that name back in several "corners" and in apks..

all good.
Here's all the system info I can get to.
I do have antutu installed, but it just confirmed the unit was as promised (except for the android version obviously)

If you have a terminal app, then please do a "getprop | grep fytmanufacturer" and share the id with us (like "ro.build.fytmanufacturer=116").
Or simply use my HWGetInfo apk (from my signature)

1 is the NOR MCU. It is used by a number of resellers. On 4pda they maintain lists of all fyt resellers and CUs they can get their hands on. At least is says "something" but unfortunately does not pinpoint it to 1 or a very few resellers.
Yeah, I was just on there looking around and saw quite a few vendors using the "1" designation.
Looking on ALi, I didn't see many vendors offering an 8+128 2000x1200 unit, so ??. The vendor said it's a "nevegetor" but that's questionable. Since I marked it "received" it's been silence from the vendor :/
Anywhere else I can look?

Edit: Found it! It's ISUDAR.

hmmm, I see I did the check the wrong way around. I have
Code:
[ -e "$JOYING" ] || joying
, but actually that should be
Code:
[ -e "$JOYING" ] && joying
or
Code:
[ -f "$JOYING" ] && joying
, but both don't work and the first does work.

I will have a look at that.

I gave it a very quick look and it's a very interesting approach. Thx for it :)
I'd prefer a rename of the apk over a delete. Even if it's backed up on USB, people could delete it, lost it or whatever strange thing people could do with an USB drive :p
Then a restore tool is also recommended ;)

I simply copied some old stuff from old scripts, but you are fully right. Renaming is much better than removing. Renaming gives the simplest restore option.

Using the basic APK on a Navifly FYT=1 7862 unit, I ran the script to rename the OEM radio. Now when I click my mode button on the the steering wheel, no radio is opened.
Would it be possible to name the OEM radio as "radio old" and change Navradio to what the OEM radio was called so that the radio can still be called from the mode button?

As a side note, if my mode button toggles through a group of 5 apps, could I not rename those apps and substitute them for other apps to get a similar result to what FYT HW OneKey app does?

Found a bug regarding favourites using APK basic which was downloaded yesterday from Play store. Have multiple FM stations and one AM station saved as favoourites. When toggling through the favourites, AM station doesn't play when selected and the next FM station doesn't play either.

This is no big issue for me, but I figured you might like to know about it. The video will demonstrate better than I can explain in words.

If you need other info, please let me know and I will upload it.

Version 2.38 is coming out for testers:

    - Fixed crash when changing font
    - Adjusted Notification toast layout
    - Added Israelian logos
    - some code clean up
    1
I have found one bug, if the auto full screen is set it will change to full screen even if I have a finger touching the screen to use the frequency bar.
    1
I have finally managed to install it. I have paid for the app. It works very well
    1
    Good function.

I am going to make a very complicated suggestion, because I like the application a lot. I listen to radio by streaming, would it be possible in future updates to install it?

Thanks, I really like your work😉

    SOME TIPS AND GUIDES

    - REMOVE ORIGINAL RADIO APP -
There are some issues due to original radio app coexistance. To avoid these issues the best option is to remove the original radio app from the system using the FYT_Radio_REMOVER/RESTORER tool availabe here:

Extract the zip file on the root of a FAT32 USB disk so you have:
    a folder "BACKUP_RADIO_APK"
    a folder "lsec_updatesh"
    a file "lsec6315update"
    a file "lsec6316update"
    a file "lsec6521update"

With unit powered up and android running, insert the USB and when prompted press "START".
This will reboot the unit and run some shell commands to rename the original radio app from "******_com.syu.radio.apk" into "*******_com.syu.radio.bak" so it will not be found by android.
You will see some linux commands scrolling and at the end you'll see a green text "update success!Pls remove device". Do it and the unit will reboot to android with radio disabled.
The script will also make copy of the original radio app on the USB in the folder "BACKUP_RADIO_APK" in case you need it in the future.

    TO RESTORE THE ORIGINAL APP
Simply insert again the USB with same files in it and let the process run again.

Essentially everytime the USB stick is inserted, it remove the original app renaming it with .bak extension or if the .bak file exist it restore it back with .apk extension.
You can use it as many times you want.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    TOGGLE SCREEN NORMAL/FULL:
    - Double Click on the station information toggle fullscreen on/off.

    NORMAL SCREEN:
    - Long press on the station information popup the "ADD Station" dialog window if the station is not in your station list. If it's already in your list, it will focus the relative station button.
    - Long press on a station button bring up the "EDIT Station" dialog window
    - Single press on screen arrows <> does a small frequency step fwd/back
    - Long Press on screen arrows does a quick search fwd/back

    FULLSCREEN MODE:
    - A Single press of the arrows <> switch to next/previous station
-A Long press on station information(center of the screen) bring up the "EDIT Station" dialog window.
    - In interface settings you can remove the big frequency in background if a logo is available.
    - In settings you can hide status bar, activate the clock and a speed gauge

    STEERING WHEELS CONTROLS:
    - The steering wheels commands act exactly in the same way as the fullscreen arrows, they just need to be setup in the correct way in carsettings application.

    FAVORITE LIST:
    - The FAV list is the result of merging FM and AM favorites, so you can have both frequencies in the same list.
    - FAV stations can be edited within the fav list but cannot be added. You need to be on fm or am list to add a station and set it to favs.
    - Deleting the FAV list will just remove the fav flag from the fm/am stations but will not delete them.
    - Deleting AM/FM list it will delete the FAV list too.

    LOGOS:
    - you can use your own station logos, you just need to know where you have them stored and browse for them when editing a station.
    - To get the stations Logos from the app you have to set the nationality of the logos in the interface menu, download and extract them.
Once they are extracted you have to edit each saved station to assign the logo image to it.
    - The automatic assignment of the Logos is based on the RDS id of the radio stations (pi code) and the search of the logo by RDS name.
The first method (by id) is faster and more precise but it needs that the name of the logo contain the picode of the station and for this purpose i renamed them for some of the available countries. Of course i cannot make them all and the functionality of this method depend of the availability of correctly named logo images for your country.
The second method (by name) is less accurate and it work comparing the RDS name with all available logos. If the rsult of the comparison is 100% correct the logo is autoamatically assigned. If the result are more then one logo, a dialog window popup asking you to choose it.
For USA and Canada the assignment of the logo is is done by searching the frequency of the station in the logo file name.

AF (Alternative Frequencies) handling: (Doubleclick to switch between stored AF)
AF service allows the radio tuner to tune in to an alternative frequency when the signal becomes too weak. The minimum level signal can be set in factory settings (Auto Search Stop) and has been found
that around 30 db is the best choice.
To improve even more this service I added an automatic storing of the alternative frequencies so that every time a new frequency is received, it's added in a list.
After an autoscan some radio stations can be found on different frequencies, NavRadio+ have an option (in Settings/radio) to automatically merge the frequencies in just one button populating the AF list
The frequencies available in this list can be selected using the station editor or switched one by one DOUBLECLICKING on the station button.

    NOTES:
I'm the only developer of the app and I work on it every single day for some hours a day.
I try my best to develope the app at best of my possibilities and I wish at evey release that it is bug and crash free.
This is very hard to achieve, even if I have some very good friends that help me testing it.
I'm really thankful to them for their help and support.

Thank everybody who beleive in my work and thanks for understanding. :)

Hi, unfortunately for me the app conflicts with the original app of the radio. When I switch on the car, the original app starts by default, then if I finish the original one and start navradio it works. All this on radio isudar qled 6 g of ram 128 of rom.
Yes, on all fyt units right now it's working in this way.
I'll release a tool to disable the original radio app flashing a command with an USB disk.
please be patience a little more...

First time caller, long time listener:
I think it would be great if you could update the OP to include the scripts and how to use them.

    Good work, by the way!
I perfectly agree with you but i have a real life and a real job too ;)
As soon as I can i'll add all the new stuff to first 2 posts of this thread including some tips that are already in the other XDA sections/threads

EDIT: added new and updated scripts in 2 post.
    4
Version 2.25 is coming out on PlayStore :
    - fixed Notifications enabling not working properly
    - fixed Metadata selection ordering
    - fixed language selection not retaining after reboot
    - fixed Text ellipsis in main UI
    - added speed color changing depending on speed

I also updated the free version on Playstore to v2.20 with sc9853i support.
