[DEV ONLY][RUU] HTC One S (S3) Ville C2 2.15.401.100

Maybe stupid me...
But i didn't replace any libs or bin files.
But discovered that replacing some framework files (trail and error) caused a full reboot without any errors.
Don't know which one caused it to boot.
Have to start all over from scratch but it has something to do with core, ext or bounty jars.
I used the Russian rom post earlier here as comparison...

I've seen worse, first thing I did was get the start menu back but the only thing I dont like is that Microsoft got rid of Aero and the hacks to get it back are buggy because it was disabled within DWM, apart from that is great

Agreed but compared to windows 7 I am finding it much faster. I don't mind too much aero is gone! I do quite like the metro tiles. But may change back to the original start menu as well!

How is your port coming along?

remove audio lib in system/lib/hw and see if the rom boot up without audio

Google maps, google +, gmail, flashplayer, YouTube, spoundhound, dropbox, probably more. Also some are useless for custom ROM such as google feedback, HTC feedback, myreportagent...

Just to check, what boot.img did you use to attempt a port? I'm using the one from 3.33.401.53

I use 2.89.651.2 (4.0.3 Sense 3.6) libs. HTC EVO 3D (has some hardware with HTC Sensation, but 1Gb RAM and 1188 processor clock MSM8660 (Sensation MSM8260), HTC One S has this processor too). I ported 1.11.401.101 (4.0.3 + Sense 4.0). But this 2.15 give me error with libs.

Dont replace libhardware_legacy.so (You need to hex edit original one to point to right Firmware WIFI files), for audio/video you need to replace:

Code:

libmedia* 3 files
libaudioflinger
libstage* 16 files
libvo* 24 files

Also system/etc copy from previous working build just to be sure

Than watch for log it will tell you missing input methods for framework.jar /media (like MediaPlayer.smali)

Than replace media smalis in framework until errors are gone and you should have boot

I'm trying to port to that phone to I'm useing a modify 2.8 I made to use with any hboot
