[DEV] Porting CM10.2/CM11 to i9506 [UPDATE 13.02.2014, KK open source files released]

Samsung is being INCREDIBLY LAZY with i9506's KitKat.

You guys know when e330s got KitKat? More than a month and a half ago.

LAZY because it's a dead device. Samsung is investing in the S5, not upgraded S4. You might get one last rom out of Samsung but don't expect much from it.

also if anybody has tips on compiling for i9506/330S i would like to build BeanStalk (CM-based rom) for it. I can't find a device tree + kernel that works.

I suppose we should get same ROMs as i9505 (thinking about replacing my i9505 for i9506). After all, it is just another S4, isn't it?

Well, it's not another S4, it's different, but it should be as important as the i9505 is for Samsung.

This device is not popular. I bought it because of sd800 but development is almost zero.Hope we get cynogenmod 11 and upcoming.

We desperately need a custom ROM for this model as well, since it's taking over for the i9505, at least here in Norway and Germany. But i guess many other countries as well. My idea is to port a CM10.2/CM11 ROM for this, as the Samsung source files probably will be more compatible with that, than CM11 at the moment.

Same in Spain. It has surpassed i9505 with an unsupported device, forgotten even by it's manufacturer!
