Is the video scrolling smooth? On cm-10.2, Had been quite "jerky." After a little manipulation, phone reboot.
Have no chance to tried your works, even already downloaded the last updated ROM. 
As I'm viewing into the screenshots at page 1, icon apps at drawer set in 4 columns only, instead of 5 (well, I prefer to like it) as in Launcher3. It's happened also in original Hephappy's CM-11-20131227-NIGHTLY, which I'm using ATM.
Google Now works fine. Translucent status bar works like a charm using your zip file . No more annoying message, :good: after PrebuiltGmsScore (taken from CM-10.1.5-Kitkat-p500) was installed. GEL works fine except the drawer has 4 columns only. Will edit build.prop bring back 5 columns drawer when ran GEL as Home default? Did you try it out?
PS:
Which file you used for camera (5 max exposure). As you said, from 4.2.2 but I can' t fine Camera.apk at /system/app.

Tried the Dec 27nightly. Found it more problematic than the Xmas Gerrit so attempting to recover.

If you are using xposed framework, then gravitybox module has an option to change the number of rows (and also columns) on GEL. Just keep in mind that xposed won't work with ART.Have no chance to tried your works, even already downloaded the last updated ROM.

you dont flash other two
just extract the user gapps ( cm file manager wont help use PC or some other file manager )
and install them one by one
gmscore then quicksearchbox then launcher
set it home launcher via settings .... and enable google now in search settings
the user system apps pack is not needed, u can get them from play store as well
he just placed the ripped apps in that folder imho

have you tried trimming LatinIME? I was planning to give it a try using OneRomEditor but my volume button kind of misbehaves so entering recovery becomes a PITA.
Experiment with 4.4.2 came to a rude halt:
I flashed the Dec 27 nightly over the Xmas build, simply formatted system, flashed ROM and Gapps. Came up and I had it going. But it seemed less stable than the previous build, numerous FCs so I tried to restore to the backup of the Xmas build. This failed. The thing wanted to "optimize" ALL of the dexes, ignoring my link2sd symlinks and this, of course, ran me out of data space (Link2sd's Achilles heel). Tried a variety of things to get back, no go. So I restored the cm-10.2 backup without of hitch.
Since the emphasis is on omni now, might just wait.
The Xmas build installed with wiped dalvik, and after letting link2sd make new mount scripts (would not execute my old ones), began redoing dexes and I ran my symlinks in time to keep some data space open (in other words, it respected the symlinks). This did not work trying to recover that build. Maybe something is off on the restore from cm-11 backups?

This rom is already trimmed and Hephappy already trimmed original LatinIME (from 32mb to 12mb), dont expect more to taste kitkat.
How can people get the butter-smooth rom?

Everything is so laggy that it's impossible to use it as your primary phone.
However it always responds. eg. When it was installing GEL, I could still quickly pull down notification drawer then could swipe it away without a sweat.
May I know what's happening here?
