CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

As we got CM11.0 to beta-state fast, I decided to run weekly builds of it.

What are Weekly builds?
CM11.0 builds of the latest CyanogenMod sources from github, and latest armani-dev sources from GitHub so you always have latest CM features and fixes, and latest changes made by armani-dev.
New version will come out every week, most often during the weekends.

This is not a replacement for development thread. Post bugs there!

Original CM11 thread (htcmania): http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=893300
Original CM11 thread (xda): http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-1s/orig-development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-11-t2909757

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
 * Your warranty is now [STRIKE]void[/STRIKE] intact.
 * Xiaomi is one of the OEMs who allow rooting, etc.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 */
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit their Gerrit Code Review.

FAQ
q: this error occours, will it be fixed with the next release?
a: not until I do not get the magic ball which can repair errors without logcat/kmsg.

q: Where are "Developer options" and "Performance" in Settings?
a: you must press the "Build number" 7 times in the "About phone"

q: I have a gray dot on top every time I enter the PIN. Is it normal?
upstream derp. doesn't affect functionality.

q: I do not sound the calls I get from SIM 2
a: upstream derp. second sim ringtone isn't set by default.
you must configure it.
  • open dialer
  • open menu -> settings -> subscription settings
  • switch to second tab (with your carrier name)
  • set ringtone

is the volume is lower than in MIUI?
no, is the same.

Can I install apps from MIUI to CyanogenMod?
Most likely no and if you want to discuss please open another thread.

Could you add a feature that is present in another rom?
no; only features present in official CM.

Both have different purposes.
there focus is on 'RC' builds, i.e. 'Release Candidate' while this one focuses on 'weekly' builds (similar to 'nightlies'); and it would defeat the purpose of mixing both the threads.
thnxx a lot just now flashed..will say u if thr is any error..thnx mate :)

It was deleted by the moderators for being what they considered a 'duplicate thread', and it seems they don't want 'another' cm11 thread.

fefifofum, Kra1o5

i've got a problem while my phone restarted.
phone stuck on MI logo after i set account, restart it and the phone is stuck on MI screen (no cm boot animation appear).
fixed using this method.
flash using TWRP Recovery then remove the battery about 1 min after flashing process finish.
pray
place the battery then turn on your phone.
wait until MI logo away and Cyanogen logo appear. (aproximately 5-15min at worst)

The problem now below :
  • Black transparent big Dot always appear after device restarted.
location is in the top center of screen (see attachment)
  • Cannot detect Carrier Name on SIM 1 Telkomsel.
  • Audio is Low (anything)

anyone have cure with this issues ?
  • upstream derp; something related to msim
  • idk, seems upstream too. anything related to msim is upstream. know that msim is/was originally committed to CAF, iirc; with OEMs merging in those patches. CM merges these patches from CAF, so... can't say if they messed up, or we did. In any case, I don't face this bug (status: can't reproduce, won't fix.)
  • no, it isn't. it is the same as miui. If you are speaking about the speakers, I can't say much though. I (frankly speaking) don't like blaring speakers, and there have been not much commits affecting (in essence, decreasing) the speaker volume in armani-dev. There've been a few commits for improving/increasing the audio though (mainly, in-call audio). Most of these changes have been incorporated in CM11 RC6, and will be merged into the next weekly.
