hell
could they update the "DEFY Baseband Switcher" for the newer version?
Probably in an RC but nighlys never really update apps. My galaxy s has a very old version of adw launcher on it still ( I use LP tho so doesn't really matter)

Just grab the apk and install it your self as part of your update process

Wifi channels 12 13 14 problem

Hi,

what can i do to change regulatory domain with the latest build, i need to see wifi channels 12,13,14.

I have no regulatory domain option in Wifi-Settings->Advanced.

I've edited ro.wifi.channels=14 in build.prop and reboot.

The same, can't see wifi channels 12 13 14.

Thanks.

Can someone post their Automatic Backlight CM settings? I used some settings from earlier posts of this thread but they don't seem quite right. Some help would be most wonderfull. Cheers

Yesterday I received during a call another call and I didn't see any options to end/hold previous call to answer the second one. On stock Froyo or leaked GB for Defy +, the dialer supports that. It is missing in CM7? :(
Settings -> Phone Settings -> Hide Hold Button checked by any chance?

Edit /system/bootmenu/config/default.prop and set ro.debuggable to 1.

I've set mine up for my current environment as I spend most of my time indoors when using the phone & it was too bright when in a darkened room. Not sure how the brighter levels react when outdoors in a sunny place.

Window length 10s.
Sample interval 2s.
Screen dim level 16.
Other levels:
Lower Upper Screen Buttons
0 49 20 255
50 249 30 255
250 499 50 255
500 999 70 0

2000 3999 170 0
4000 5999 225 0
6000 7999 255 0
8000 8999 255 0

Hi guys,

I am running the latest nightly (110831) and tried it yesterday with my new touchpad and it is awesome (both wifi hotspot and HP Touchpad :) ).
I am also running the latest kernel.

Try this nightly, it is running perfectly, at least, for me.

That *is* the latest kernel you can install in the DEFY and CM7 will work (because there is another version, taken from the moto ginger rom from defy+, but will not work with cm7).

Anyway, installing the latest BOOT179-4 nightly will install the 179-4 kernel obviously.

Ok - Just switched to my first CM7 - with the 110830-1037 Nightly.

All is good, (I had to install gapps afterwards, probably something I didn't do right) - but all is fine apart from WiFi.

What's strange, is I can connect to one of my AP's, but not the other.

The one I can't connect to is: (OpenWRT, Linksys 350N)
802.11ng, PSK2+AES, txpower 20, channel 3, region UK
The one I can connect to is: (Thompson TG-585 v7)
802.11bg, PSK2+AES, channel 9, region Europe

I don't see much difference really between them, that makes sense anyway..

Before CM7 (stock Defy 2.2), I could connect to both without issue.

Any suggestions.

Is the OpenWRT and Linksys 350N set 801.11 mixed (n/b/g) mode? Try to set 802.11 mixed (b/g) mode if have.

In office: D-Link 801.11g mixed (n/g/b) channel 11
In home: D-Link 801.11g mixed (b/g) channel 1

Ok, I've messed with the settings on the router some more.

It seems if I change the security to PSK (as opposed to PSK2) then it will connect.

None of the other settings seem to make any difference, but the Thompson router has PSK2, which works fine??

I've setup an additional VLAN on the OpenWRT router, just for the CM7 (with MAC address filtering too, just to be sure), and that's a working solution.

Still strange though, that it won't work with PSK2...

There is one big difference. One is a 802.11n and the other is 802.11bg. I have seen posts that a lot of people cannot connect to n routers. Try setting your n router to use g (or bg) only and try to reconnect. You should be able to make this setting in your routers configuration. Worth a try.

Edit: just saw your subsequent posts, seems this is not the problem. There definitely seems to be problems with n routers though.
