Well, i downloaded the latest cm from kyasu last night and i have to say this is the rom that i was looking for all this time!! It is realy beatiful and the battery life is also impressive for a lollipop custom rom.
I would advise it to everyone realy! Cyanogenmod is just perfect. Some minor bugs with switching camera view but that's not a big issue, i'm sure the minor bugs will be squashed in the near future.
Also this rom gives you the option to install gapps(not installed standard) and NO BLOATWARE! freaking awesome. ;)

I'm happy you found a Rom that suits you. ;)
I would advise you to follow Resurection Remix and (when it's out) Modpunk's version of CM (even if Kyasu is syncing most of modpunk's changes :)) too, and maybe even try it, because they are quite nice too (from what i got, the RR's dev is using modpunk's and bonuzzzz's CM port trees as a "base" to port RR and implement the fixes when they happens too and the last build switched to a 5.1.1 base wich solve most of the wakelocks/memory leak that were still in 5.02 and 5.1.0).

Be careful that there is some video recording problems, some problems with call over Bluetooth (for bt headset for exemple) and a few others too, but yeah, it's really a nice Rom. ;)

No problem i know where you came from and the frustration it brongs upon... enhanced by the (REALLY) terrible Lollipo releases (to know that 5.02 shiped with mem leaks/stutters/performances hogs that were reported in beta AND with community supplied fixes and those weren't even all fixed in 5.1, and a few are left in 5.1 making pretty much all roms a pain), and i know how hard when you have only one phone and you need something *decently* stable with nice battery life and you have no "backup phone" for day to day basis feels like.

I waited a really long time to start meddling with that phone for that reason, but i don't regret jumping on the RR train since end of June. xD
Over 6 months without a decent working Rom not hogging 80% of the battery for stupid apps i NEVER even started but coulnd't freeze, wich caused bootloops if i removed them was painful (specially since ALL my phones since my first one in Andro 2.2.2 3 years or so ago were rooted and cleaned in under a week and all after the first were bought with the certainty there was a decent AOSP/CM based Rom to use with... i ****ed up with the alpha, never again :p).

Enjoy your phone with a somehow lasting battery and decent perfs (as much as you can with a battery that wasn't great 5 years ago... :/ i would kill for 2 more millimeters in bulk for twice the battery. God i miss the days where phones were, by default, 2/3 days of heavy phone/texting/wap usage autonomy, with 6/10 days of life on standby.... i don't ****ING CARE it's 3/4mm bulk, i want 8 mm and a week autonomy :p).

edit : and don't forget to thank the devs that made that possible, Ozcan, Kyasu/modpunk/Bonuzz and others, we would be screwed without them, and we owe them a LOT. :)

There is an increased 2500mAh battery pack available for the Alpha since few months ago.
I havent tried it but it will most likely suit your need of extra juice while making the phone a bit bulkier (which wouldnt be a problem imho either, since it is quite hard to grab it from the table with this low height)
Have a look here (in case you missed this thread): Bigger battery for Alpha

Big thanks to Dev

Hi - Just want to say thanks to the dev. After the JB update I was ready to throw away this phone. Battery life started to suck and it was crashing a few time a day - especially when trying to make calls. This ROM has resurrected my phone - it's just so stable. Big THANKS from me!

Don't have this ROM saved anymore. Most apps today won't work on it. Currently happy with Google Pixel 4a 4G from Ebay. Android 13 sucks, don't update. Much slower phone lags to answer calls and wired headset has new echo/feedback issue.
Not looking for a daily phone, I like having a bunch of phones spread out on various firmwares. Looking to buy a Galaxy Alpha.

@Eudemony m8, can u put in first post all steps for flashing your Rom?
Including what we need to do before ur Rom ( rooting, or just recovery, which one, SuperSu yes-no etc)

    Thanks alot!!!

I installed it successfully with the following steps:

    1. Root your Device with CF-Autoroot
    2. Install TWRP (from the Original Android Development section)
    3. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP OVER TWRP!!
    4. FULL Wipe your Device (for me it worked without but its always recommended)
    5. Install the ZIP
    6. Enjoy!!

Once again thanks for the Rom!!

Not sure if anyone still wants this but it is annoying that the download links have been removed. I'm tired of battery life on 5.1 and beyond ROMS, going back to 4.4.4 which I prefer the looks/style of anyway. After some digging I found a link to download this Eudemony ROM:
