Hi, thank for the rom. I got some problems on Carbon so i decided to try Omni...and i'm impressed. It's really a GOOD rom. However one issue makes me regret Carbon..the offline charging. When i put the phone off it and i go to charge it, it shows an android (with battery percentage) then the screen remains black (but not turned off). In carbon this is fixed. I know it's a known problem...but that's really the only thing "wrong" with Omni for me. Hope it can be fixed, maybe asking Carbon mainteiner for some help. However AMAZING WORK.
P.S Will this thing break my phone or overheat it? I mean...screen "ON" during 10-12h charging (at night) may cause many issues like dead pixels or something else...am i wrong? I'll be happy to hear someone opinion and why not? Maybe also some suggestions by the developer!

Never noticed some overheat while device is off. So.. It shouldn't but... Who knows
In case you can find the commit who fixed it am interested into
Will look into it, the fix for offline charging varies per devices, isn't the same for all afaik :/. I'll keep you updated if i found somethingThanks

Sorry, I meant, if you can take a look at the device repo/kernel repo into the fixed rom, maybe you can find the commit. While looking on forks for 9 I didn't find it.
As said on the other thread, I am just trying 9 to see if I can handle it, and from others devs reports I don't think so. Lets hope someone else will be able to.
Seems you have issues on hardware (charger/handset), i used carbon nothing faceoff with that issue. Or probably your system file corrupt. Basically Omni and Carbon are good enough for daily used

I have D6633 with Omni 8.1.0-20181027-z3-nailyk, kernel 3.4.0-OmniROM-g597d7368149
After I flashed OmniROM I've installed my microSD card. The ROM asked how would I use the SD card, I've choosen option as removable storage. Because I didn't want to format my SD to ext4 type FS, and "bind" by this action this SD to my phone (it was suggested as 2nd variant - internal storage).
Now there is several problems with apps.
1 is - I can't save photos from camera to SD. If I choose storage as SD I get message "No access to SD-card". Camera has full access to Memory. Also access was enabeled in the Dev's menu (Allow to save on external storage, or something like that).
2 is - I can't also see SD memory in default audio player (Phonograph). I press ROOT folder and see nothing. I press storage folder and there are "emulated" and "self" folders, but both have nothing inside.
Another different problem are GAPPs.
If I try to install any package of Open GAPPs for ARM 8.1.0 via TWRP, I get error about "wrong architecture".
If I install GPlay manually, it installs and do not launch. If I additionally install GPlay Services, then GPlay launches, but stucks on white loading screen. I've tryed a lot of mods (LP mods, customs, original GP) for my DPI, for NoDPI, but the result is the same.
Also I can't add Google Account. If I'm trying to add account (pressing option in menu) nothing happens.
So how can I solve all above mentioned problems without roll-back to original ROMs?

The statement in the 1st post says "Full treble device". Can anyone explain what does it mean, as I don't see any "Treble features" here, even partially. And nor does Treble Check app from the Google Play.
Treble device is not only with A/B partitioning, it can also be A only partitioning. But with this ROM there is no Vendor partition. I also could not find TWRP for Xperia Z3 that supports Treble.
I think it was an aim, but currently without actually repartitioning the device you couldn't get vendor functionality on it's own partition.
A only works for devices with /cust partition that isn't used in custom ROMs and so can be used as vendor instead.
Z3 was never made with that many partitions in mind

Unable to update to newest version, OTA and TWRP

I had sucessfully installed omni-8.1.0-20180101-z3-nailyk, but it does not allow to update to a newer version, so i tries to install version directly via TWRP, but i get the following error:

Any problem on custom rom from nailyk include omnirom latest version, when charging use phone power is not connected or discharging please fix it
hello there, dont know if this is the right thread my phone got softbricked after i flash this customrom. my phone now is on sony bootloop. cant even charge in wall charger.
i tried flashing stockrom using flashtool and emma no luck.
tried xperia companion and get software repair error.
and i cant even go to recovery mode after flashing several recovery img twrp.
btw before this happen i was on carbonrom and trying to us this ominrom as daily driver
i wipe cache and dalvik but i accentally wipe the system and i flash the omnirom and it stuck on oreo logo
then trying to go to twrp to reflash the rom but its gone and the sony logo bootloop starts.
hope someone can give me advice.

i was in customrom before i flash omnirom lol
hello there, no issues on flashtool.
it just my z3 gets bootloop at sony logo after flash the custom rom
