I hope this is the correct place to post this:moderators, move.it to.where ever you see fit
As everyone knows by now, ICS aosp source is released.

I've already downloaded and started building.
(After a few moddifications)
And hope to add this to the other 13 devices I support.

This will also eventually be apart of my BOCA releases.
wish me luck!

its building right now, and I'm gonna need some testers.
the build will take quite a bit, please use this time to offer advice, and not to many "ill test!" responces.
patience is the key, its already in progress
PS
must know how to logcat, and how to Google answers to issues

PPS
The next place this port is headed, is sgt7, then the g2 and then original Droid x.
atleast, that's my plan
;)
I have to start somewhere, and this is the place.
Yes its building for a different nexus device, but first I need to build, to make sure its a proper code, then mod it!

Hey, all!
Just wanted to throw this out there, to all the other ics devs, and all other devs. Or anyone with knowledge to share.

I don't believe in that territorial BS!
Enter my thread, take info, leave info!

Ego's aside,
This is more than a community, its an android family.

I don't give a rats behind who gets where first.
lets just get it done!

I'm pretty sure if your target is full maguro it's for the new galaxy nexus and NOT the nexus s. People flashing a ROM for s different phone may bork their devices.

Sent from my SNES

Yes, I know, thank you
It will be modded to fit accordingly, I'm hoping
Plus ill already have the new nexus phone build.

I have to build this way first, and then mod.

I've been waiting and ready for this source, so hopefully I've got it figured out (Modding it for nexus s)
Hence the dev wip tag

Will we get a pm or how will we know when the build is ready to download and test? No hurry just wanted know! ;D

Sent from my Google Nexus S using XDA App

Everyone before my "no more testers after this" post will receive a PM, yes.
and a very few others (looking at you, proxuser and a couple more)

ICS source is unbelievably large, and has monsterous hardware requirements! And picky ones too!
My crappy comp has about 1/3 of what's "claimed needed"
So real slow going, and if I listen real close, I can almost hear the comp crying/begging for a quick death, lol

    But it IS building,
After that, its a bunch of: fix it, error, fix it fix it, error, error....lol
Hell, this could take a month! Porting is real slow work. (If that's the case I will request a thread lock, so as to cut down on the thread clutter)

The team is hard at work, never fear!
I just don't post much, unless there is a major development.

I opened the thread early, solely to get a list of testers, and give anyone in the "know" a chance to toss some info my way, and vice versa

    Okay.
    I have enough testers.
Noone below this post will be in my tester list, with a few exceptions, of course!

    UPDATE
    error, process killed

    No reason stated
I knew the code wouldn't build properly, lol, it never does. ;)
Slight setback, and a small amount of waiting time added.
    Be patient, thank you

please look at what Jean-Baptiste Queru wrote here http://groups.google.com/group/android-building/browse_thread/thread/cb467ea7026679e2
about the release date of binary file (when there will be the ota update I think), about Nexus S graphics driver from 2.3 and about the graphics driver from galaxy nexus (same GPU but probably it doesn't work)
