Does the Z3 Tablet Compact have the multi window option in the developer options on MM? Like mentioned on this page, here.

Right, that means rooting is the only way to get it I guess. No, but it has an option called 'Simulate Secondary Displays', which allows the user to set different resolutions.
The option shows a semi transparant overlay of a the screen image. It is nothing like the dual window in Nougat. So you are probably right.Right, that means rooting is the only way to get it I guess.
That'd be great, I haven't rooted my tab yet so cannot check. Just making the most of various small apps for now which are surprisingly useful.I will be upgrading to MM in a bit and let's see. On my rooted Z5 i edited the build.prop to activate multi window and it works great though tricky to activate unlike on nougat. Hoping to have the same in my Tab Z3C. Will post back soon.
Wow, thank you so much! This has just made my day, who needs nougat when we can do this!Just updated and edited the build.prop. Multi window works, we can even choose 2, 3, or even 4 windows at the same time (albeit small already) I attached pictu of how multi window appears. For steps in editing build.prop follow this link

Can I ask, how did you root the tablet (which method)?
