Sir i have noticed on other thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647154) the dev are trying to make 4.4.2 on our s duos ? the galaxy ace 2x having same spec.. and its having a kitkat rom... why cant we port that one to our s duos ? can we do that ? thankz in adv your rom is simply awesome

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FLASHING ROM FOR FIRST TIME

Its better to do a clean installation of a rom always.

NOTE: I am NOT responsible for any bricked devices or whatever happens to your device

1 Its better that you must be on baseband listed and if you wanna try other your baseband, you have to try yourself for by your own risk.

2. Download PMP™ Ultra ROM v7.0 full ro package and v8.0, v8.1 update packages

3. Now copy "PMP_U700_GT-S7562.zip", "PMP_U800_Update-Package.zip" and "PMP_U810_Update-Package.zip"in your sdcard

4. Wipe data, cache and dalvik cache. And also wipe battery stats.

5. Install PMP_U700_GT-S7562.zip from sdcard.

6. Follow instructions in Aroma

7. Reboot.

8. First boot will take time, Set up your phone(be calm)

9.Reboot to cwm and flash v8.0 update package and reboot.

10. Reboot cwm and flash v8.1 and reboot

11. Enjoy ! :laugh:

Hi , did everything but there seems to be an error when I install the 7.0 and boot then the inial settings come then I choose the language then wifi the message comes "unfortunately ,settings has stopped"

Try with removing sim cards.If that didn't work insert sim cards again and it should work. I have flashed 7.0 around 4 times and every time it worked for me :thumbup:

Tried it but no luck it crashes when I skip the wifi setup , but I do the wifi setup I cant because the freakin keyboard is google voice app

Battery back up is less than the previous release.wifi direct is force stopping by itself.wifi direct file receiving speed is 1 mbps somtimes it is in kbps.I got 2mbps in previous release and in stock also same..may be this kernel is not stable

From here you can try r2 kernels with different OC levels- BA2X 2.0 r2

SD card not detected

This rom is wonderful.. very smooth. But unluckily after installation of v8.0 my 16 gb sd card not detected...may be completely damaged.
I am not using memory swap.. but as the gallery note 2 is slow, I tried 2-3 free photo gallery apps..and all that slow apps has been uninstalled except cool 3d gallery. I could not sure is it caused by those photo gallery apps or anything with this v8.0 rom, but now my 16gb kingston sd card is un-usable even tried on PC but fails.

Anybody kindly help.

Hello bro. After installing new update i had stuck at samsung logo. The only way to make it work it was to manually flash kernel. Now i can use my device but i want to remove the ace ii logo from boot animation. So i need a flash zip with your modified kernel.
And also please tell me. If i do all the steps for a clean install starting from version 7 you think that i will fix the problem? I mean the starting problem that i am stuck at samsung logo. Do you plan a full rom update soon? If yes there is no reason to do all the steps from start now. I can wait untill the full rom update

Thanks for the info...and i did some test also. It seems that flashing kernel with the update is causing some issues like you guys are getting...

So, in future i will not include the kernel with any update package, but will include in full rom packages only. Flashing kernel seperately is safe as always.

I will post that updated r2 kernel soon when i will be on my pc till then just flash kernel seperately.

i m getting error setting has stopped from version 6.5..............so cannot go to 7.0//////plz help....

my experience

my bad experience ...first of all i was on 7.4.....n by mistake i could not go with update after 7.4...so i flashed 8.0 on 7.4 ...n it was fine ...then i

flashed 8.1 n in aroma i selected default theme n new btx kernal instead default n i was stuck with bootloops n my phone keeps on restarting

now.....these all flashing was done through cwm recovery in my phone......now what my phone was keeps on restarting with latest update 8.1...then i

connected my phone to pc n flashed kyelopen's base stock rom as suggested by cheatman through odin ,,,,n my phone was back.....now i was

thinking to install fresh pmp ultra rom from begining...so i downloaded 7.0 with my dead net speed.....as told by u i flased 7.0(here i got error msg

that setting has stopped after selecting language) then flashed 8.0 n then 8.1(this time selected default kernal) but here was same problem i.e

that many user who go first time for pmp ultra rom may getting same type of problems........i again flashed stock rom then flashed 5.0 then 7.0 but

this time i downloaded 5.5(as i was already having 5.0 package in my pc but it was not useful for me) as in one of thread i read ur comment that to

solve setting stopped problem so i followed.....now i flashed 5.0 on stock then 5.5 n then flashed 6.5(setting stopped error started here) ns then

flashed 7.0 but i was getting same problem ...so i rebooted into cwm n cleared data ,cache n delvic...n this time i could flash 7.0 properly......then i

flashed 8.0 n it was fine ...n now i flashed 8.1 in aroma selected default kernal...but got same error that" setting has stopped" at wifi setting with 8.1

the hell error.
............now anyone help me ......

edit: finally i was able to flash 8.1 after rebooting 4 to 5 times n clearing data ,delvic cache many times again n again ..then setting stopped problem was solved........waiting for next :laugh:update

upgrade from 7.9 to 8.1

hi mohitash,
i am currently on 7.9
may i know if it is suggested to upgrade to 8 > 8.1.. or stick to 7.9 for now, as there is a mixed feedback with regards to the new update..
in my opinion, there is no such difference between 7 and 7.9.. however, the road seems to be more bumpy with v8 onwards..

LAST UPDATE v8.1 doesnt includes theme installation it will just update theme info in settings and also in this update framework resources also included so it will also save the transparency background of system according to your theme.
