Question Device Freezing on MIUI 13.0 4 GLOBAL.

Update, the freeze bug still happens frequently. I think I will downgrade to MIUI 12 again. This is the only solution for me for now at least. Thank you though.
I'm afraid it's the only way... not done so far, even cause I'd prefer avoiding to play with unlock, recovery and so on.
Sorry for being so negative, but after so many months I must admit this device is definitely a *bull*****.
I sent a lot of feedbacks and had just a copy/paste reply saying to free space and charge battery.
I was happy with POCOs, but never ever Redmi again, maybe never xiaomi at all :-/
No, it's okay. I feel that too now. I'm now on MIUI 12.5 again. Maybe would try getting an update again after MIUI 14 came out officially. Thank you for responding tho.
Got some good news: I found that the SD card was simply dead, so I replaced it with a new one, and the redmi note 10 pro now works like a charm, more fluid and reactive. But most important, no need to reboot it since then (a week ago).
Check yours, as I forgot I had an SD card on the slot... simply because the UI didn't show it at all.

I am on global 13.0.2 and it also freezes a lot, I change my system back to light mode and the freezing stopped. Sucks as I do not like it but most apps you can change to dark mode even if system is light so it's sort of livable
Stumbled on a setting today that might be the culprit, go to Additional Settings, Memory Extention and swith off or disable it. I have been back to dark mode for the day and no freezing, I know it's a short while but I am optimistic by nature

MIUI 14 has come out and I updated it hoping that the issue is gone but it's not. It just happened again while I was playing game. I am now trying the "light mode instead of dark mode" solution to see if it actually works or not.

Nothing seems to work for me. I've tried the memory extension and the light mode solution and the freeze still happens but only for 20 seconds. I'm downgrading it back to MIUI 12.
What about the SD card? Did you try removing it? (in case you have one in the slot)

For me the culprit was the MIUI "Security" app. I started the phone in emergency mode then went to settings, apps and deleted cache and data for the Security app. Rebooted the phone and never touch the Security app again - so far it's OK, but this is a very unsatisfactory situation.1My device keeps freezing 3 to 4 times a week after MIUI 13.0.4 global update and I would have to restart the phone to resolve the issue. I never had that issue on MIUI 12.5.9. Is anyone else having the same ???1
For battery issues, I recommend checking "battery", under settings, to see which apps are consuming the most.
In my case, Google Location history and Google Play Services were the top battery consumers. I checked their permissions and found that they were set to "always allow access to location", which resulted in some mad GPS and battery use. After setting them to "only while using the app", battery became just as good as it was with 12.5.
Your experience might be different, especially since you have a completely different model.1
