Ok ppl i have managed to run gamepad on our beloved Leo. You must search for gamepad hid driver that is somewhere on forum. Its not for 100 % and it might not work for you. I tried this with PPCShiftPda wm 6.5.x rom and ofcourse with leo host drivers from Cotulla. I even combined diferent versions of gamepad hid cabs and i was little confused when i saw "gamepad attached" message since all my previous shots was fallen. I tried my old gamepad with fpsece and it work like a charm.
Remeber if you get successed it still might not work on every boot so be ready for soft reset and reenable host mode. Also there will be no calibration after the message and only the d-pad works in system (menus, programs etc.) but you can configure other keys in emulation software like fpsece.

Many Thx to all devs for their fantastic work and ...sorry for my poor english;p

:(

won't work for me. i am on this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=667272
Does someone know which version it is? my software info says core cell, as they changed the rom info to this name. i believe it isn't 3.14, is it?

i tried following things: i took my external powered usb hub, (i already got this to work with the ubuntu/linux builds around here, i connected my usb stick, my mouse and the android phone from a friend to my linux hd2. worked like a charm. i was able to copy files between my sd card his phone and my usb stick at the same time) and a usb stick. i was able to see the recognized "hard drive" in total commander and file explorer. but after having recognized the stick, my hd2 wont do anything further(the stick also stopped flashing his led light, indicating the work status). the connected mouse didnt do anything at all. :(
is there any trick to eventually get it to work? i stayed on this rom for so long and found it to be perfect in the end, but i would love to get my usb sticks work with it!

anyhow thanks for your great work dft team!!!

Hey all,

Finally i got it working on both dutty & Energy rom. Before connecting go to "Usb to pc " under connection settings. select USB mass storage, & REMOVE THE TICK from ask me on connect. After this restart & connect it will work.

Thanks & Cheers to Cotulla.

Hi Cotulla,

Can you plz let us know how can we add usb drivers for different devices. Like my logitech v220 mouse is not working won wm6.5 but it is working on linux. whenever i putt it on wm6.5 it ask me to enter device driver name and i dont know that. i have tried few names like, HID, Mouse, Generic mouse but no luck. so it will be helpful if you explain the way.

Hi!

Thanks for your advice, but it still wont work for me/ it isnt usable.
This is what i experienced:
1. I installed everything like Cotulla told to.
2. Reset
3. Start USBH Switch
4. Switch to Host
5. Now i minimized the usb host switch app(i disabled sense as i had to restart my phone very often(time saving)), the usb host app stays on the homescreen dunno why??
6. i opened the start menu and got ready to open total commander
7.i connected my usb cable to the phone(usb cable already connected to usb-hub, and hub already connected to usb stick/mouse)
8. as soon as i connected the cable the stick/mouse began to flash their led lights
NEW: now when i opened total commander very quick i was able to explore the files on my usb stick or use the mouse within tc. BUT this wont last. after 3 or 4 seconds my stick stops flashing and i got stuck in tc. via windows button i headed back to the start menu maximized usb host switch app and did a reset.

@Cotulla: is this something you experienced on your phones also? is there anything i am able to do to keep access to my usb devices?

thanks!

maybe insufficient power supply for all this devices?

mmh i just tried mouse or several usb sticks alone, no luck. and they worked well all together in linux(same hub etc.)
also played around with the option: charge/dont charge while connected to pc..
i'll keep trying.

EDIT: it works!!! seems as if the connection betweeen hub stick and phone has to be established before switching to host mode. (did a reset with everything still connected) now all devices stay accessable. GREAT!
edit2: new apple keyboard works like a charm out of the box :D you are my hero :D:D
Thanks for your fast answer!

for everyone who's interested:

i installed zeno usb host driver on my hd2 and it gave me a mouse pointer for my usb mouse!!
the downside (why i uninstalled it again) the zeno driver just supports my mouses up left and right movements. so my cursor always drifted up to the start menu bar while using the mouse, where it only moved right and left in the end. it started always in the middle of the screen and mouse down movements wont move the cursor.
so we need a mix out of cotulla and zeno ;)) who is able to..?? :p

!!! http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=usbinput !!!

This link above provides fully functional mouse cursor and keybd sounds.

You know that we are hobby team, so we acts like free painters ;)
doing something when we like it or drop it and continue with something else, much more interesting at the current moment. then return back to old project with new ideas. It's just some kind of art :)
ETA, time lines, plans - all this make hobby extremely boring :(

So we can't and never promise anything exactly...
So you should not read "we working under ABC" as "they will release ABC soon".
You should read it as "they looking now to ABC, but if stars of the sky located in the triangle with angles 60 degrees, they will able to successfully finish it and then release it" :D

    DFT LEO USBH WM65

    Introduction

this project was started long time ago, but then, during luck of free time for this project, it was suspended.
Now, because it seems very hard to improve it more, we make decision to release developed stuffs. Also more interesting projects now appear ;)

    About release

This release contains drivers designed to allow connect different USB devices to HTC LEO (HTC HD2)
Those drivers designed for Windows Mobile 6.5 OS and they were successfully tested on 3.14 ROM. Other ROMs are not tested.

For using USB host ability you need use special cable or self-powered USB hub.
More information can be found here

This release supports HID and MassStorage profiles.
You can connect UsB Mouse, USB Keyboard, USB Stick, USB Hard Disk.
Of course, you need enough external power for devices.

Please remember, this is some kind of demonstration,
this implementation sometimes isn't stable and you can have issues during usage.

PLEASE MAKE DATA BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING!

    Installation:

    1. Install CotullaCert.cab
    2. Install DFT_LEO_USBH_WM65.CAB.
    3. Reset.

    Usage:

    1. Programs -> USBH Switch
    2. Disconnect from PC.
    3. Press "Switch to Host" button.
    4. Connect host device.
    5. After some time it should be detected.
    6. You can try to use it.
    7. After usage you need reset your device to go back USB client mode.

NOTE: It's not recommended to connect device to PC during USB Host mode active!

    USBH Switch program:

    attachment.php

How it can looks in the real :

on picture you see a USB hub (without external power), a self made Y cable, LEO1024, USB mouse, USB Memory Stick and a bunch of cables.
I can see data on USB stick inside file explorer and can control device by mouse (cursor invisible by default). White cable go to USB male which used as VBUS 5V source.

Thank you for your hard work! What software do I need to connect a mouse? I don't see cursor. USB HDD and keyboard works fine.
Yes, mouse with invisible cursor. But I can't advise you any program. Maybe you can search descriptions how to connect mouse to old PDAs with USB Host, like Loox 720.

Thanks for developing. Do you have plan start usb host on android ?
    Android doesn't support USB Host?
I know some new devices from Samsung implemented this feature, but I guess it's a lot of different changes inside Android by Samsung :(

It is only for HD2 or will this work too on Acer Neotouch S200?
Was designed only for LEO (HD2). I doubt it will work with S200.

I have a question: If it works for me, is it allowed to cook in USBH in my rom ?
I need ask other DFT members.
In general nothing against allowing including it into custom ROMs, because we won't develop new version of this.
But! Other important thing that it's not stable and can cause issues for users.
(Like I once activated USB Host during active connection to PC and got BSOD on PC :D )
So if you include it into ROM, users won't be warned about anything(because they don't read instructions, here they need at least find a CAB....
Anyway I will answer a bit later.

Wow, impressive work! I don't use the HD2 anymore, but it's bloody great to see some real good dev work being done on it, especially for WM6.5! :)

    Cotulla, You are truly Porno!

I sold my HD2 2 years ago, But I have bought a new one today, since I miss the experimenting so much!
