Nope, not solved. As I discussed in another thread, I requested that other US who have unlocked check their warranty status and report if it's still valid, but nobody did it. I could downgrade to Marsmallow and unlock on the website, but I don't know if Hauwei would automatically invalidate my warranty just for requesting a code. My plan now is to wait a few more weeks to make sure the tablet is working ok before I unlock.Solved?
It's possible that this policy only applies to US-based users, but I don't have any way to know. I'm surprised that Hauwei would take this position on unlocking. The M3 is a great tablet, but what I'm seeing is that the number of users here is to small to provide the level of mutual support needed to solve problems.
