Sony's original timetable said that z5 + variations will receive nougat during the end of 2016 but as always Sony neglected the older models in favor of their new flagship.
We will receive nougat but no earlier that February-March... :mad:

To be fair, actual release dates for the X series missed their original target dates, so it's not unreasonable that the release dates for all other models (our Z5 compacts) will also be delayed.

Speculating from the fact that we just received an firmware update for MM in December (that's not even finished deploying for all regions around the world), your guess that our Nougat update will come around Feb/March sounds extremely likely, although I wouldn't mind seeing it pop up in Jan. It'd be great to enjoy Nougat over CNY.
